Dnx7100 ipod video

Do you really have to have 1.2 software to opperate your ipod through this unit? I have a problem where when I start up the system it reads the ipod but shortly after it stops and starts over. This only happends to the unit while listening to the ipod. I also cant play videos throught the ipod... I did once but no more

I just got the DNX7100 Professionally Installed and I cannot see the Video from the I Pod Classic 160GB. I can hear the Audio Just Fine. I thinkI have the KCA-iP300V Video Direct Cable. Based on Kenwood's Support Team, I just Upgrared the Firmware to the latest 1.09 Version. Now the only difference I see is that I can see the Artist Picture, instead of NO FILE/NO PICTURE/NO DATA (one of these).

The Kenwood unit shows the iPod's first song's data but then it just stays there. It also resets the iPod avery 20 minutes or so. Very annoying

My DNX7100 will play the ipod video with no problem but my wife's nano 3rd generation will play but the playlist won't show and the info on the current song comes on right but wont change when the song changes. We can FF to the next song but that is the only thing that works. We have downloaded the latest software but it still doesn't work right.

For certain music, the system screen don't change/adjust to the songs ex. song countdown don't move or when changed song, screen stays on previous song. Functions on display does not work.

Updated my ipod software and now it wont play on my home theatre system

This is always tricky with 1st generation iPod touches. After a while they can't handle the new software anymore and some functions won't work anymore. Maybe try to downgrade the software. Otherwise you should probably get a new iPod.

Tip

Why NOT to jailbreak your iPod

Hello to all that happen to come across this Tip of mine! As you may have seen from the title, this Tip is about why someone should NOT jailbreak their iPod Touch or iPhone.
1. This is the main reason that makes people reluctant to jailbreak their iPods; it breaks your 1-year manufacturer warranty that comes free with the device. This means that if you iPod breaks, you will not be able to send it into Apple to get it repaired without having to pay a fee depending on the damages (as opposed to being free if it weren't jailbroken). Now many people have told me that if their iPod did break, they would simply restore it back to factory settings, and that Apple won't be able to tell that it was ever jailbroken, which makes sense, right? WRONG. After an iPod has been jailbroken, Apple WILL be able to detect that has been, even if you restored it.
2. It slows down processor speed! Why would anyone want to slow down their iPods just so they can customize some certain features? Is it really worth slowing your CPU for a custom ringtone or a picture in the background of your iPod? It certainly isn't in my opinion.
3. IT'S ILLEGAL, that's right, you heard me, illegal. Apple now has copyright laws that now go against jailbreaking iPods.
4. The new features may seem really cool at first, but trust me, you'll start to not care anymore after the first 2 weeks.
5. If you do decide to jailbreak your iPod, and then a new Firmware comes out, you'll have to wait until Development teams create new software that will crack the new Version of the iPod, which will hold you back from getting cool features that Apple may have released.
See? When you think about it, there really isn't much of a reason to jailbreak your iPod in the first place.
Thanks for reading, this is Rippster1214, out.

Before you start reformatting your iPod , you need first to back up everything on it somewhere else .

Alpine - 50W x 4 In-Dash CD Deck Model: CDE-100 | SKU: 9438076 how do i opperate an ipod on it? do i have to create a playlist or something?

You have to run it through the aux input, the usb port will not play an ipod through it as it doesn't have the ipod 2.0 software on it, you can get a ipod connector that plugs into the back of the head unit, and then plugs into your ipod and you can control it from that as well as charge it, but other than that you have to use the aux input. The only thing you can play through the usb port is music on a thumb drive.

what I try is restoring it and see if it is a software problem: 1. Start by syncing your iPod with your computer. When you do this, the iPod management screen will appear.
