Yep..the element, or wire inside the blanket is probley broken, or touching just enough to work sometimes. No easy fix for this..and it would be dangorous to do it anyway..

HOW DO I GET MUCH MORE HEAT, WHEN GETTING VERY LITTLE HEAT FROM DREAMLAND DOUBLE ELECTRIC OVERBLANKET WITH DUAL CONTROLS.

Dual controls implies that the blanket has two separate heating circuits. Do you experience the same problem on each side? If not, you may have a faulty thermostat. If so, it may be a faulty controller or power supply issue.

Need replacement controler 972a1 for blanket bf4a

Everyone who has one of these blankets needs a new controller - join the queue!! The maker is Imetec, you may have someluck with their Customer Services; the controllers sometimes pop up on that auction site at around the 20 quid mark.

I have a Dreadland Imetec 972A1 electric blanket approx. 3 years old. the light is now flashing as soon as blanket is switched on and blanket not getting warm.

I had the same problem & decide to attempt a repair, i.e. try & bypass the time control. 1st of all I couldn't get into the unit, seems to be sealed, removed the little switch by force to see if there was any screws below it, none, tried to lever the unit apart &, again, no joy. I gave up, snapped the little switch back into place, & turned it on. Believe it or not it's working!!!!! Don't know for how long but here's hoping. Derek Moffitt

Dreamland Imetec blanket.1 side controller flashes red.Swapped controllers, problem still there.Seems confined to 1 side of the bed as both controllers work fine on the 'good' side but neither work(ie. both...

I have been getting over this problem by operating the switch slider very rapidly. Sometimes it has to be done back and forwards a dozen times before the light stops flashing.

Dreamland electric blanket not heating

Yes we had an electric duvet from this company and it stopped working. Was replaced very kindly and no fuss by John Lewis and the same thing happened. (They had said they wouldn't replace again) . Spoke to the company but the woman was very rude. Said that if we lived in a rural area that was our tough luck basically. (A power surge or something). I don't think that's acceptable but we have given up on it now. I think there are 'known' issues with these products that are beingswept under the carpet.
