Question about RCA DRS7000N DVD Recorder
You may be experiencing macrovision copyright stuff. I have had it happen to me. Does the picture seem dark and reddish? If so, I am pretty sure that is what is happening and as far as I know, there is nothing you can do about it. I may be wrong about that, but that is what I was told sometime ago. Good Luck.

This may seem trivial but I find that not overlooking the obvious can be helpful. Is this unit hooked up through component (separate RGB)? If so ensure that the three wires are positively identified and connected to the proper jack on each end. Reversing two of the wires would give you the problem which you described. The fact that other inputs are fine eliminates the tv as the problem. Check out the hookup and get back to me. If the unit is hooked through DVI or HDMI try a new cable as yours could have a broken wire in it. Let me know how you make out.
