On a 1997 GMC the fuel pump has a black rubber piece how does it go on the pump itself.

If you are talking about the o-ring, use a little grease and it should sit in groove on top of fuel tank.

How to load grease in it?

The model 1056S will accept the standard grease cartridge available at any parts store. I have to use a razor blade and cut off the metal pull tab end. Then push the cartridge into the cylinder from the top. The real trick is to guide the rubber seal into the cartridge; it can be done, I load mine this way. Use the little lock to hold off the long plunger, allow just enough to work with inorder to insert rubber seal into cartridge. Only after the rubber is in the cartridge, then screw on the bottom cap. Then release the long plunger rod. You noticed that the plunger rod will rotate out of the rubber seal assembly, rotate it so the rod can be pushed into the cylinder without pushing the rubber seals. The sping will push the rubber seal to ensure grease is mover to the top. Very powerful PSI, do not blow out the rubber cups around the zerk fittings. Good luck

I have a SP 300 Pedestal Sump Pump that isn't pumping out the water in my crawlspace and the motor is constantly running.

I would check the input of the pump, exit and the hoses for being plugged up. The shaft of the motor may also not be connected to the pump impeller for some reason. Sometimes the impeller gets clogged with junk. Take the pump out, and clean it out first and see if that solves your problem. you can test it in a 5 gallon pail filled with water.

1991 firebird has spark fuel pump running. will start sometimes and run perfect if you shut it off it will not restart until it wants to still has spark and fuel pump.changed coolant sensor no help any...

Try this - CLEAN your battery cables both top & BOTTOM. Everybody cleans the tops but ignores the bottom ends which are exposed to grease, grime road sludge. What makes me suspect of cables - when cold cables contract and make good contact. As soon as they heat up, they expand and any grease or dirt adds resistance.

2001 ford explorer packing front bearings

This is going to sound silly. Buy a bearing packer. This device is not expensive and should be available at just about any auto parts store.

It is a fairly simple device. It looks like two shallow cones mounted on a shaft. The bottom cone is fixed and the top cone unscrews from off the shaft. The shaft itself is hollow with a grease fitting on top. Just remove the top cone, place the bearing on the bottom cone and screw on the top cone firmly, but not over-tight. Attach a grease gun loaded with the desired grease and pump the handle until you see grease come out the sides. At that point, the bearing should be fully packed.

Heater doesnt work blows cold air, replaced thermostat and flushed heater hoses appears to have no flow through heater core, but lines arent plugged on a 1995 gmc sonoma. Why is the hot air not flowing...

This is what I did to solve the exact same problem.I got a pump that you can hook to a drill that has garden hose connections on it.I made 2 hoses to pump into my heater core and hook to the pump. I bought some radiator cleaner at Auto Zone and put it in a 5 gallon pail with about 2 gallons of hot water.I pumped the cleaner from the pail into the OUTLET side of the heater core.(By going in the outlet side you are back flushing the core.) I put an old cloth over the top of the bucket and let the outcoming cleaner run onto this cloth acting as a filter for the dirt coming out of the heater core and let the pump run about 10 minutes. Believe me,A LOT!!!!!!!!!!! of dirt, rust etc. came out of my heater core. The heat now works excellent! Good luck.

Jenn-Air dishwasher will not drain

Hello there:
I am assuming it washes OK

First remove the kick plate.on the front bottom
Is the pump running when it should be draining?
Is The solenoid (Wash/drain) pulling down when it should be draining? (If visable)
Left hand side attached to the pump housing.

If yes then you probably have a blocked drain hose or house drain blockage.
Undo the drain hose at the sink, often stuff can collect where the hose fits over the drain fitting and cause a plug. and also the hose can get clogged on the inlet side of the pump too ok?
If OK. Try to drain it into a pail. Be sure to hold the hose there firmly and put a rag/towel over the top of the pail or you will have water everywhere.
and fully inspect the hose all the way up to the pump .
Hope his is very helpful for you
Best regards Michael

Dual fan is not blowing as cold in the bottom and runs all time

Cannot handle grease, especially in that cold area. Super light weight oil only. Sewing machine oil or equivalent.
The rule in this business has always been. Oil is for preventative maintenance, not repair. If you were having issues with the motor, a new one is the correct proceedure.

Water will not go out of the bottom of the machice the pump run

if your drain pump is running check the length of the drain hose i have seen grease built up in the lower laying area of a drain hose and this stopped the water from draining.if this is the case use a blow dryer to heat the section of hose and a shop vac to suction the grease plug out
