Hi, I currently purchased, Cisco 1941/K9 with 2 onboard GE, 2 EHWIC slots, 1 ISM slot, 256MB CF default, 512MB DRAM default, IP Base. Questions 1. With IP Base License, will I be able to run Frame Relay?...

1) FR should be supported in IPBase license
>>Offers features found in IPBase IOS image on ISR 1800,2800 and 3800 + Flexible Netflow + IPV6 parity for IPV4 features present in IPBase.
note X.25 is mentioned in the first table FR it isn't.
2) You need to purchase a PAK and you should be able to generate the DATA license SAL from the portal following the instructions (there are also other methods described in the document)
3) you need SEC for IPSec VPN it means another PAK to buy
4) yes you can install all of the additional licenses in a single device
5) yes, they build on IP Base so you add features without removing any
6) no, the new device will be already with the correct licences from factory
>> On each shipped device IPBase software activation key is installed by default. Additional keys are installed by manufacturing depending on the customer order.
7) yes with the UC PAK
Hope to help

Hi there, looks like there is a hardware issue on the machine. The Jet direct defaults continuously to Dhcp changing the address to some random ip. nobody in the office can print to this printer. This is...

What your IT tech has done is use an address reservation to ensure that the printer always gets the same IP. This is a fairly common practice to ensure when one needs to ensure that a machine always gets the same address. We use that on our network almost exclusively. I would recommend that you perform a cold reset on this machine, also called an NVRAM init. This how it is done:

Use the following procedure to execute an NVRAM-init.

1 Turn off the printer.

2 Press and hold the (SELECT) and (CANCEL JOB) buttons simultaneously.

3 Turn on the printer.

4 When you see the message Permanent storage init displays, release the (SELECT) and

(CANCEL JOB) buttons.
When the NVRAM init is complete, the printer will return to the Ready state.

After you have done that you will need to to reset your network card settings. Also ensure that the firmware on the printer is 20070716. You will find the firmware version printed on the configuration page of the machine.

Wont print - "Unable to Init. E3"

I think I solve the issue for scanning so far. Here's what you do goto control panel -> Scanners and Cameras. Then right click into propertise, then check Specify your machine by address. It should already have the printer IP address listed in the box below. If not our can goto to your router and see the ip in the DHCP Client List .

After this I'm able to use the Control Center 3 scanning.

I think the problem was the NODE name list in the setting in my winxp pro does not match the actual NODE name the printer is using.

HP Laserjet 4345MFP
Backlight on printer display does not light.
Counts up the 256MB memory then HP logo (3 sizes) appears (just visible)
The 3 lights keep cycling on the display. Thats it, does nothing else.
It has been left overnight and continues to display the logo and cycling 3 lights.
Rear DC Cont Fan is turning. No other fans or activity with machine.
When ADF/scanner/mfp or hard disk are disconnected it does recognise this and throws an error and asks for reboot.
I have tried cold reset, nvram init. and hard disk init. but no difference.
Your thoughts?

Got Init Failed error on wireless mode and cant save changes

What browser do you use to access the router? It could be your browser causing the issues not allowing you to safe changes etc. Maybe make sure your browser is up to date or try a different browser.

Low memory display on HP Laser Jet 3050

Hello All,

Please perform the following:
Super NVRAM init
When a super NVRAM init is performed, the all-in-one language and telecom country/region settings
are undefined. The user is prompted to set the language and telecom country/region. Until these settings
are defined, the all-in-one will not return to the Ready state.
CAUTION A Super NVRAM init erases all data that is stored in both the unprotected and
protected NVRAM memory.
To perform a super NVRAM init
Turn off the all-in-one.
2. Press and hold down the * and 5 buttons.
3. Continue to hold down the buttons while you turn on the all-in-one. Hold the buttons throughout
the entire power-on sequence.
4. When Permanent Storage Init. appears on the control-panel display, release the buttons.
5. When prompted, set the language and telecom country/region.
6. Allow the all-in-one to return to Ready before using it.
