I can not download my pics from the chip using a new targusThe chip works in my small HP printer but I want to get them on my desk top and into Picassa.

i think you will have to install the drivers for touch screen to work. Just download a small utility called 3DP chip from
3DP Chip download

Just install it and it will recognize all your hardware and will provide you the links to download the drivers.

If that's the case try connecting the the camera to your computer then print all the pictures then format your memory chip to make sure this is not a problem with the memory chip...

After opening the link, select your operating system (win xp/vista,etc). After downloading the driver on to your computer, run the setup and install it. After installation is complete restart your computer.

I seem to recall that these cartridges are chipped and you need to get a chip resetter. Look on the base to see if a small circuit board is present. If so then you have to get it reset or buy a new cartridge.

what OS are you using? if you are using win 7 no need, but you can visit hp.com for driver downloads

You need drivers for win 7 only for the two printers you have .some of the mfg, have not got all the bugs out as yet. Im in the same boat .had to get a new model so i could print. Check windows web. site for driver 7up dates.hope this helps

Gives types of chips to use, sales in USA, and certain things to take note of.
The toner reset chip replaces the original HP ID chip and is designed to be used only on refilled HP cartridges.
It is not recommended to force toner cartridges to run on empty, as this can cause damage to both the printer and the toner cartridge.
The reset chips are dedicated to one color only, so that user can not swap toners.
As for actual physical installation, just push the new ID chip in until it clicks into place. The correctly manufactured ones should be a snug fit.
I have seen techs using a drop of contact glue behind the chip-board to secure it.
Copper pads face outwards towards matching printer pins.

My printer is Samsung, not HP, so your toner cartridge may be a different shape.

try to download the driver again to hp.com and download the HP Deskjet Full Feature Software and Driver

go to www.hp.com and click on "Support and Drivers". Type in the name of your printer and you can download the drivers onto your new computer so your printer will work.
