My acer aspire 3680 could not power on by bat and adaptor

DC Jack diagnosis:
1. Test power adapter for output voltage. Bend the power cable in various directions while doing this to be sure that there is no broken conductors in the cable.
2. If power adapter is Ok, connect it & see if the power LED on the laptop will glow when you jiggle the power connector in various directions. If yes, then the DC jack might be loose or damaged, & need to be either re-soldered or replaced.
3. If not, then disassemble the laptop. Remove any components that attach to the laptop's motherboard first (e.g. battery, hard drive, RAM, wireless card, optical drive, ... etc.)
4. Next, remove the keyboard & the LCD screen.
5. Finally, unscrew all screws that hold the upper cover & lower cover together so that you could gain access to the motherboard.
6. Inspect the solder points connecting the DC jack to the motherboard. Make sure that none of them is loose. If any, re-solder them.
7. Inspect the center pin in the DC jack. Make sure that it is not broken or loose. If it is, then you might need to replace the DC jack.
8. When you are done, re-assemble back the laptop.

Need to disasseble my subx2 boombox to replace the attenna plug found only 3 screws under the handle and its not releasing

After dissassembling my subxr2, I have come to the conclusion that the issue with my antenna not being detected is in the female contact of the antenna's plug, not with the connector in the box (as I expected to find). I have not yet verified this by trying a new antenna. Here is how to dissassemble the box in any case.

Very carefully, with a small very flat screwdriver, remove the front grille of the unit. There are 8 additional screws set in deep holes that need to be removed. Once done, the front panel will pop right off.

The inside of the case is a mess of wires. You do not need to disconnect them if you do not want to.

Pry the grill off the bottom of the box. Remove the 4 screws that hold in the speaker. This will allow you to move the speaker that is in the main body out of the way.

The antenna jack is _not_ a part of the circuit board. If you look into the box, you will see a rectangular cut-out in the edge of the circuit board. There is a wire with a silver connector that is held in place by 2 screws. Remove those screws and you are now holding the antenna jack.

How toi install a new inverter on my acer 4520

before doing anything check your bios settings for the lcd to see if it is a default setting for the brightness of the lcd b/c sometimes it is set to dim to save battery life if that is the case then it should brighten up. also use the FN key on the laptop and adjust brightness before dissassembly.

you need a small bit phillips head screw driver, a small flat head screwdriver.
1. with the flathead remove screw hole covers on the face of the monitor.
2.remove screws with phillip head.
3. carefully pry the face off starting from the top and working each side, once you get to the bottom you may have to pull a little harder b/c of the double sided tape used to help hold it on.
4. with the face off disconnect cables from the inverter board and remove any screws holding it it place. replace with the new one and power on laptop before putting everyting back together to make sure it works.
