Hi, try this, go to the Control Panel, open the Security, now open the ("Allow a program throught Windows Firewall"). Click in the Exceptons (block), you want to (Add program) block, click to open. In the Path: Browse... locate the Program / Software, to download; add to the ("List"), click on the OK, and Restart the computer.

How can I download purchased items on itunes (error 8003) from behind a Cisco RV220w firewall?

Configure the Cisco to "log everything", and then try the iTunes download. Then, examine the log-files, to see which connections were blocked. Then, configure the firewall to "allow" those TCP-ports.

My computer won't let me download anything

Most computer users can readily download files from the
Internet with no issue.

Yet, you may experience an error that will not allow you to
download anything from the Internet. Generally, you can readily resolve this
issue with some simple troubleshooting.

Check your antivirus settings.

More often than not, you simply have too strict of security
settings that prevent you from downloading files.

Otherwise, you can try a few other simple fixes to get your
computer to download files.

If you cannot resolve the issue by troubleshooting, you may
have a serious error that demands the assistance of a computer specialist.

Turn down your security settings.

Go to your browser\'s security settings.

You can change all settings to default or even low settings.

You may even see an option there for enabling downloading.

For example, Internet Explorer has a check box for
"enable file download."

Try to see if these looser security settings will allow you
to download files.

Get a new Web browser.

You may have installed your browser improperly.

You can reinstall your Web browser.

Alternatively, install a new Web browser and see if you can
download files using it.

Sometimes, this will remedy the problem.

Internet Explorer, Firefix, Safari, Chrome and other free
web browsers work well.

Update your computer.

Sometimes, a computer update can remedy your downloading
problem.

If you use Microsoft Windows, install the latest service
pack.

Reboot your computer after the installation to see if you
can now download files.

If you still cannot download anything, you need to see a
computer specialist.

Virus If Explorer Won\'t
Download Anything

The Internet is laced with malicious software just waiting
to take a crack at your personal information.

While rare, certain bits of malware have been known to
hijack a user\'s browser to prevent the download of repair or removal tools.

When this occurs, destroying the infection can be more
frustrating than usual, but is certainly not impossible.

Restart your computer.

You can do this by clicking the "Start" menu,
select "Shut Down" and click "Restart."

Press the "F8" button repeatedly as your computer reboots to activate
the Windows Advanced Options menu.

Select "Safe Mode with Networking."

Press "Enter" to load Windows.

Safe Mode is designed to allow you to troubleshoot issues
with your Windows operating system by limiting the types of processes that can
run -- this should block the virus or trojan from controlling your browser.

Remove the Virus

Download the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool
(MSRT).

MSRT is a free tool developed by Microsoft to assist you in
removing harmful files from your computer.

Open MSRT by double-clicking the icon on your desktop.

Click "Next" to progress to the "Scan
Type" pane.

Choose "Full Scan."

While this scan may take longer, it will ensure that every
corner of your computer is checked for malicious software.

Remove any harmful files that MSRT discovers by allowing the
software to delete them or by manually destroying the files and folders.

Empty your Recycle Bin and restart your computer to boot
Windows in standard mode.

Your browser will now function correctly.

Why cant safri download this file

One of few things could be the likely cause.
  1. Pop up blocker is on
  2. Internet security settings (in your control panel) security is blocking it (try looking through those, depending on your operating system & version)
  3. Anti-virus software doesn't allow .exe file type downloads (again, check your settings. check you Anti-virus software settings as well.
More than likely, it is one of the above. Good luck

I am getting an error message saying that "lxdnwbgw.exe and lxdncoms.exe are blocked' from my printer driver. It tells me to "allow access." I have Kaspersky antivirus protection. My...

Disable windows firewall then in kaspersky look for exceptions and then try and find the lxdnwbgw.exe and lxdncoms.exe files and make sure it has allow or something like that. also maybe u need to allow outgoing connections in settings somehow. i don't know much about kaspersky 10 but it should work

Kaspersky antivirus is indeed blocking these files. I would uninstall Kaspersky, and dowload the free AVG, which is what I use.

Unable to download files from my mail in my computer.what happened?

There is a setting in every email program that allows downloads or blocks the download. I would check on the tools or options menu to see if you can locate that option. In Outlook go to the Options tab under Tools and open the Security tab. You will see where it asks to allow or to block certain things such as attachments or pictures. If it is checked just un-check it and try again.

When i am trying to download somthing camputer reply me that ur current security settings did not allow this file.

you must be trying to download a file from a website that is reported attack sites and reported web forgeries.
Your pc security is just working to protect your computer from being infected with virus and being hacked by other computers.
But.... if you sure the file you are downloading is safe, and the sites is trusted then try doing this to download the files freely.
1. On the Menu of your web browser, click the Tools
2. Select Options
3. Press the Security tab
4. Uncheck all the three boxes and click Ok.
That's it! Download the file.
After you finish downloading, Check all the three boxes again
So that when you browse on the different sites you are protected again.
