SOURCE: No ignition on burner for belling

When you cleaned it you might have hit the igniter. The gap between the ignighter rod (the rod that the spark originates from) and pilot has to be at a certain width. Here's what you do. Look at a burner that works, take note of how it is put together, and adjust the broken burner assembly the same way. Especially note the space between where the spark comes out. Also, make sure all wires are connected. If the burner is not grounded, it will not make a spark. Check to make sure the wire to the igniter is connected. DO NOT TEST TO SEE IF IT SPARKS WHEN TOUCHING ASSEMBLY!!! Get back to me for more help if you need to. Take note of ALL you do, and what happend when you did it, the more info I have the better.

I have a Belling DB4 90Ei Cooker and I have noticed a hole in the back of each oven. Why is this

Your oven is fan assisted and that is the fan you can see behind the slots. Air is drawn into those slots and the fan forces air to circulate from the side of the oven. In recipes you need to reduce your temperatures by 10'C and your cook times by 10%. The fan gives very even cooking with no hot spots in the oven. This particularly useful baking cakes. Common faults with Belling 317 Range

For all Free appliance repair videos visit our VIDEO TUTORIALS 1, If the Belling fan motor in the back of the oven is going round and the temperature light is on (normally little red light), but there is no heat then you will probably need a new oven element, these are generally very easy to fit and readily available from our website these can be tested with a electric meter.
To gain access to the BELLING element you will have to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will see the fan and element, if you look closely at the element you will probably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. Sometimes however there is no evidence of a fault but the element is open circuit ie: broken inside the element casing, either way it will need replacing. Some elements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are held in place by nuts from the rear of the machine.

2, If your BELLING fan oven is getting warm but takes a very long time to cook or is burning the food more on one side than the other, then you need to check if your oven fan motor is working you will see the blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element is heating but the fan motor is not blowing the heat into the oven then you need To replace the oven fan motor is a little more expensive and a bit more involved.
3. If you have the opposite problem ie: your oven is over heating and burning everything then you will need to replace your BELLING oven thermostat
4, A quite common and easily overlooked answer is if your BELLING oven is not working at all ie: no heat and no fan then the chances are that someone has put the oven timer into AUTO mode, simply put oven back to MANUAL mode and all should be working again.

I have a Chef Ceran Cooktop Model EHC64oU with four elements. The problem is that it doesn't seem to cook anything on a low heat. It stays on low for a few minutes and then the the temperature increases...

I am assuming having looked up the model that you have a glass top range. These ranges use a thermostat to regulate cooking temperature, and when they go bad you will either suffer from erratic cooking temperature or have no heat at all. The best solution I can think of is to replace that thermostat.

Generally, reduce both the temperature and cook time 20% when using convection.  350 F becomes 300 or so, for instance.  One hour becomes 45-50 minutes.
