Without more information or photos it's pretty much impossible to even guess. But, it could be anything between a Leica and a Leica III, produced anywhere between 1925 and 1954. Only features and model-specific numbers engraved on the camera would tell the full story - serial numbers don't give much information to anybody but the factory.

try a drop or two of lighter fluid on the seam. it should loosen it. The lube is caked and the fluid many times liquifies it. (go easy with it.) Leicamatt
