It could mean you have an "unconfirmed" address. If so, confirm your address with paypal and try again.

Stop Credit Card Payment

Most credit card companies will allow you to cancel the payment.

I use american express and when i have problems like this then i just call them up and they cancel the payment and i return the item.

Just call your credit card customer support. Most likely they will cancel the payment.

Cancel paymenys to classmates.com

Sign in to PayPal.

Navigate to the "Profile" screen by clicking "Profile" button.

By default, your personal info will appear.

Click "My Money" to view your financial details.

Click the blue "Update" link next to "My Preapproved Payments."

A list will appear, with the merchants who you have agreed to automatically pay via your PayPal account.

All merchants you've ever agreed to reoccurring payments with will appear.

Click on the desired merchant.

Click the blue "Cancel" button next to "Status" at the top.

Click "Yes" when a confirmation box appears.

Once the payment is successfully canceled, you will see "Canceled on XX," where XX is the date.

Hope this helps

Current credit card not accepted

First things first. You need to be sure Paypal is available in your country. If you are going to use your card to pay you just need to fill up your card details assuming you click a merchant link from other website.

Now if you are going to use your card to verify your paypal account then you need to go into that process in which you can see a link inside your paypal verify account or remove limit. If you already did this you next step is to link card to your paypal by going to PROFILE then ADD/EDIT CARD and input card details.

Any card with VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER and AMERICAN EXPRESS logo are all accepted. If your card is different from the four I mentioned then paypal might not accept it.

How do I pay Paypal for a purchase they paid for ??

I'm not sure that's how paypal works.

Typically, what happens with paypal, is you sign up for an account (which you may have done)

After you sign up for an account you login and add in your own payment information, usually a credit card that you have, and your address and phone number etc.

Then when you purchase something and use paypal as the payment method it will charge the card of your choosing and pay the vendor. By signing in to paypal after your purchase, you are authorizing them to bill your credit card. Then the payment for the item should show up on your credit card bill.

So make sure you have edited your payment methods in paypal and you should be OK.

For some unspecified reason my card payment to Ebay was denied today why?

1) If you have a different type of credit/debit card - often no cards are accepted by the many eBay sellers, only direct paypal payment via paypal.com website.
1) If you have PayPal Visa card then I assume it still counts as PayPal payment, even if eBay sellers don't accept credit/debit cards - you should definitely complain to paypal.com or ebay.com

Hi there,

If you have forgotten your e-mail address to PayPal click here: Forgot e-mail address

If you have forgotten your Password to PayPal click here: Forgot password

This should help you get into your PayPal account. PayPal allows you to reverse any transactions so if any money is missing you can claim it back.

I suggest you change your password to your PayPal account as this looks like there might be suspicious activity happening on your account.

Thank you for using FixYa! Have a nice day and please remember to rate this solution.

I wish to cancel a paypal purchase. I'm trying to download some FREE open office stuff and I ended up paying $35.94 for something to download (for 3 years) on an mp3 player -- which I don't have and don't...

You can cancel a pending purchase two ways. If the purchase displays a Pending status, contact the merchant directly to cancel the hold on your funds. If the merchant is unable to cancel the hold on your funds, have them fax a statement to PayPal including the following information:
Your name.
Your PayPal Debit Card number.
The amount to be canceled.
The original purchase (authorization) date.
The authorization number.
The name of the person at the merchant requesting the cancellation.
The fax statement should be printed on merchant letterhead paper and faxed to:402-537-5745.
YOu can also send them a text message
Canceling (“cancel”, “x”)
To cancel a pending payment, text the word “cancel” (or the letter “x”) to 729725 (PAYPAL)

Thanks for using Fixya

My computer logged out during transaction.

Why do I have duplicate authorizations for a single purchase?

Question :
Answer :
A Several things can contribute to PayPal receiving duplicate authorizations for a single transaction. The main reason is the merchant submits the card number more than once. The merchant can run the card number again if they receive a message that indicates no response. This happens when a response is given but the merchant doesn't receive it within the allotted time frame.

You may see a duplicate transaction when a merchant sends in the final charge with information different from the original preauthorized charge. This results in a pending authorization and a completed transaction from the same merchant.

The duplicate authorization expires on the fifth day after the charge. A credit added back to your PayPal account balance.
