Broken Usb!! Please Help!!

My usb is pushed in and its just rolling around lose in the unit. I either wanna fix it my self or find a shop other than TomTom's.. Or know of another way to charge it other than usb..

    I had the same problem. I have an extended warranty on mine and sent it for repair through our local Radio Shack. After a month, I received it back stating the warranty doesn't cover that type of problem. The manager at Radio Shack took it apart and it turned out TomTom only glues the little bracket on that holds that USB port, so he soldered it and now it works fine. Just remember if you try to do this or have someone do this that is not an authorized TomTom repair service center, any warranty you might have will be void.

If its a tomtom one V2 then the only way to charge is via USB . Looks like you need a repair. There are many places to get it repaired other than TomTom but we need to know where in the WORLD you are ? Theres no point in telling you theres a repair shop in Downtown Sidney if you actually live in France .

this is a crucial system file that cannot be usb fixed, it needs a complete new install. if you have a usb cdrom/dvdrom then use it. but it definately has to be re-installed. windows xp is no longer supported by windows, and a new disk is going to be hard to find, call around to get prices for a new xp pro install disk from a local shop. some shops are equipped to repair this from thier shop, but thats bigger money to repair it than it would be to just buy it your self and install it from a rom drive.

Perhaps a couple of the contacts are shorted against one another. A Youtube search for disassembly of your laptop should show you how to disassemble it, but I suspect the USB ports are soldered to the motherboard.

If you can look at the broken port and cut out any loose, r shorted wire, you might get the other to work. You could also plug a self-powered USB hub into the other side, if it's working.. much cheaper than a new motherboard.

If you cannot get the USB port fixed you can take the drive out of the inclosure and install it as a second drive in another computer that has SATA capability to get the data off of it. You can always put it back in if you can get the enclosure repaired.

Pioneer DEH-2150 : CD Ejection switches off the Stereo
hi rolls
when there is no CD in unit hold the source button to turn unit to actual on position (when you insert a CD is it self guided once you push it to a certain point or does it just self guide instantly) if you sort of push it in a bit and unit turns on its because the pioneer function says to itself i need to be on so it will play for you but once you eject the CD the unit says time to turn off the solution i recommended should solve this if not let me know and ill figure out another step
