Question about Philips GoGear HDD6330 MP3 Player

Can't delete songs

I've deleted all the songs from the player and the still show up on the track list. They're no longer able to be played which is good. Although I want to erase the titles from the player. They're not showing up on the pc when I hook up the usb port, only on the actual player. Please help me...what do I do now?

Thanks alot for responding to my issue Dr. mp3. Your method didnt quite work. I actually gave that a try yesterday, although I did figure out the key to getting rid of the titles left in the player. On the windows media player there's a small icon of the phillips player. From there you right click it til you see a list fall out. Then you click on format. Wallah...music history gone. I have another question for ya tho. Is there any possible way in which this player can play vids. If so please explain and tell me wat to download..."In detail" please and thanks.

Try turning the player off and then back on once - let the player update. If that fails, resync the Philips with Windows Media Player. Make sure the automatic sync option is disabled, or all the songs you deleted will be put back onto the player.

Unfortunately, this Philips GoGear does not do video files. Philips has later model GoGear's that do handle videos. The installation CD (and the Philips website) has a program called ArcSoft Media Converter on it. The Media Converter translates video files into a format that can be recognized by the player. Look at the GoGear that have a model number that starts with SA, like the SA6087/37, SA9200/37, and the SA5125/37.

My sansa e250

If you want to delete EVERY track off the player, then reformat the player in Windows Media Player - it's a shortcut - see my "tips and tricks" on formatting mp3 players

If there are artist, album traces, then you need to click on every subfolder under your device in Windows Media Player and delete every trace that way - tedious, but effective

-Tha Mp3 Doctor
There are 2 ways to format an mp3 player - if you were formatting the mp3 player from "My Computer," then try reformatting from Windows Media Player instead - I have a "tips and tricks" entry on How to Format an Mp3 Player for details

If that doesn't work, then double-click on My Computer, double-click on the Sansa player, and go to the various folders that it lists - music, voice, etc. Delete the songs ONLY - do not delete the dat, bat, ini, inf, or other system files

I have a Samsung yp-k3j player. All the songs I downloaded onto the player both display and play twice. The Media Studio display in the computer shows only one entry for each song. Also, the instruction...

I had the same problem, but only for one album's tracks. I've fixed it by connecting the player to my PC, opening Windows Explorer, then deleting the songs listed under the Artist and Album folders, and then I found a separate entry for each individual song and deleted those too. Maybe I'd accidentally added the album twice at some stage.

Sansa bad track

You have to make sure that the device is on MSC mode...then make sure your device is plug in to the computer..Then go to programs - accesories - windows explorer, find the SanDisk in my computer, go to media1.gif, music and delete them from there.
Either under sync pane in windows media player it will show your music when it's connected. just click the plus signs for what song you need to get rid of, right click and click delete.
Hope this helps
If you still not able to delete it let me know so I can have you try something else...
P.S.Please rate accordingly...
Thank You

Install and run the Philips Device Manager fro the product CD.
Select the Reapir / Restore option and follow the on-screen prompts.

This will format the player, deleting ALL files, and re-load the firmware.

Use this method whenever you want to clear tracks from the player.
