Sends out a pf error code and oven does light

Yes the light comes on when the door is opened and when the microwave is active! The PF code indicates a Power Failure, press clear or cancel to reset or unplug for a few minutes and re plug!

\I am not sure y it is giving the PF code because that code is saying there has been a power failure. U could be right in the direction you are thinking.

If "PF" appears at any other time, a power failure occurred. To remove "PF"and to reset the clock, press STOP/CLEAR.

Unplug the unit for half an hour or so to see if it will reset.
If not try to get into the diagnostics so you can see if there is a stored
error code
