I do not undrestand this answer.
what do you mean by power rating????
    how do I check it?

I don't understand what you mean by power rating??

  • spisandy Feb 01, 2010

    This was helpful, thank you.

    FAIL.
It turns out that the cheaper charger we bought at the local Radioshack uses a different voltage than the more expensive charger we bought at a Verizon store.

There was nothing wrong with the phone. It was all the chargers at RAdioshack (we tried more than one.)

Hello and Welcome to fixya,
Following are the possibilities of bad charging..

  • The charger is not working properly ( Heats ups or is having loose connection with the charging port).
  • The Charging IC installed in mobile had gone faulty ( It stops charging when heats ups or after sometime).
  • The battery had gone faulty ( Might be due to excess over charging, battery chemical leak, battery life crossed ).
You are facing one of the above mentioned problem. Check out each possibility one by one. Make sure that you don't have any loose connections between the charging pin and the charging port. Also check that the battery is intact and in proper working condition. If both the accessories are intact and working fine then Sad but true that your mobile's Charging IC is making trouble and needs to be checked by the professionals.

Best Of Luck,
Please Do Rate my solution, If found HELPFUL,
Regards,
Waqar.

By power rating, it means that every charger had a specific power output. The charger's power rating ( usually printed on the charger ) must match the recommended power rating from the manufacturer. But if you think that the charger you bought can be used with Nokia mobiles then it would be definitely matching with the optimal one.

Please have a thorough look at the charger power rating after then the phone battery must have been bad.

Power cyles on and off repeatedly when plugged in to car

The problem is most likely one of two things.
1 - bad battery
2 -bad charger plug.
I suggest you try the home wall charger if you have one. If not - it is a good investment to have a second charge cord. Try a new one from Wal Mart - you can always take them back. This has been a long standing issue with the cords on some models. You might talk Garmin into giving you one free if yours proves to be bad.

I've got a 5th gen iPod that has suddenly stopped being able to recharge. I charged it the yesterday and when i came in to work today the battery had been drained. It's possible that I left it on shuffle...

contact apple and see what they say. if they cant fix it or something, then look for instructions on how to change the battery. if you dont wanna do that, then get a new one, but recycle that one first so you can get some money to pay for the second one

Magellan RoadMate won't compute if connected to power

unplug the charger, then turn the 1200 on, once its fully booted, hold the power button for 15 seconds..the screen will go blank after a few seconds, but continue to hold it for 15 seconds.

now, with the charger plugged in and unit off, press and hold the power button for upto 7 seconds or till it starts.

if that fails, let me know and i can tell you something else to do.

Apple screen

Connect the ipod to your computer and let it sit for about fifteen minutes. Then it should show up in your computer and under itunes. Usually, if your ipod dies completely, when you try to charge it using a wall or car charger, it will do that, just flashing the apple logo and going back off. Leaving it plugged up to the computer will allow the battery to charge normally, just enough so that it can come on and sync with itunes. While it is plugged into the computer and charging, it should say something like, battery very low, wait few minutes, charging. It should work after letting it sit plugged up to the computer.
