    2. Carefully pivot the left side of the cleanout assembly toward you to remove it.
  5. Check the inside of your printer for a paper jam. If necessary, slowly pull the jammed paper from your printer.
  6. If paper is not visible, check your printer for foreign objects, such as paper clips or staples. If necessary, carefully remove the foreign objects from your printer.
  7. Check under the printer for debris or obstructions. Remove any debris and if necessary, relocate the printer to a flat, hard surface.

  10. IMPORTANT: If the cleanout assembly is not installed and seated correctly, paper jam or paper tray empty errors may occur.
  11. Install the cleanout assembly.
    1. Insert the right side of the cleanout assembly into the back of the printer so that the tabs fit into the slots on the right side of the cleanout area.

How do you open the rear door to fix a paper jam on a Kodak 5250 printer?

There are two plastic tips that you pinch inward at the lower back of the printer. A rectangular plastic piece will come out if you give it a god tug and you should be able to remove any jammed paper. I took mine off and never put it back on because it is aggravating to remove. I also had a problem of every 5-6 sheets of paper would not feed correctly through the printer and a paper jam notice would be displayed. I have all but remedied this too by stretching two heavy duty rubber band around the paper dispensing tray close to the bottom to provide more tension on the paper feeder itself. WORKS GREAT FOR ME! GOOD LUCK! Mine is a Kodak esp 3.2 but it paper jams a lot so maybe this will help you some as well?

Keeps coming up printer jammed but no paper in printer

1) Switch off the printer;
2) Try to take out the cartridge, and see if there is paper piece left behind in the rollers since last jam;
3) If you are sure there is nothing paper pieces left, then put back the cartridges in the proper place;
4) Switch on the printer again and try a test print;
5) If it still jam, then you should call a repair technican to fix the real problem which may be caused by the mechanical parts in which you do not have the parts to replace.

Paper jam

Yes, put it in the box and take it back, and don't look back. A paper jam is the least of it's problems. Wait till you keep track of the ink you use: 4 4X6 color pictures, and 85 black printed pages before you have to replace the inks. I know , I have one, 3 printheads replaced, and recently Kodak send a rebuilt printer. Kodak has big problems with this.
Get an HP printer.

Paper jam in a Kodak ESP- Printer

i had the printer jam issue when there wasnt a real printer jam.

if you push the print cartidges off to the right, then reach in and push down on the cleaning head that is located on the left on the inside, it pops back down into place and voila, printer jam error message fixed.
