Date/Time Set I dropped the camera and now, when I turn it on, the date and time have reset to zero and I have to set it all again before I can take a picture. Is it in need of repair or is there something I can do?

How to put date and time on prints

  • leftwinger Apr 15, 2008

Dont know if my camera has ever been dropped or anything but I do have a little boy (2 years old) so it might have been!!

Problem is that every time we turn on the camera we need to set the date and time, etc. We thought it was just the little cell battery that had run out so we replaced to no avail.

Is it worth handing the camera in to get repaired?

I'm an imagining salesman at Circuit City and to tell you the truth I suggest just getting a new camera if you can afford it. This camera is well off in years. Most digital cameras aren't really meant to last too long. Don't get me wrong, they are able to last a very long time if you take care of them. But the life span on most Digital cameras is around 3-4 years depending on what kind you get.

For good quality and "user-friendliness" i would suggest the:

Canon SD1000, SD870, SD750

For more a more convenient price without loss of quality you might want to check out the Canon PowerShot A560.

The date stamp will only work when the camera's resolution is set to postcard mode. Press Func/set, scroll down to the bottom, then across to the icon with the clock and mountain. It will say "postcard". Press Func/set again. Then press Menu, scroll down to "Date stamp" and across to select date or date and time, then press menu again.

Can not set date on kadak easyshare c330

The camera should be able to have its date and time set through the menu and it should hold the date if you switch batteries. If it doesn't then the internal battery may have to be changed by a kodak service center.

The camera screen displays "Date/Time have been reset." What should I do?
This message appears if:
  • this is the first time that you have turned on your camera.
  • the battery has been removed for an extended period of time.
  • the battery is exhausted.
To set the date and time:
  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Use the arrows to:
    1. Select the Setup menu.
    2. Select the Date & Time feature.
    3. Set the date and time.
  3. When you are finished, press the OK button.
