Question about Electronics - Others

1 Answer

My files in my flash drive is not visible and I have checked the percentage used of my files to prove that its still there. I tried some help tips from other sites like using regedit and the command prompt (attrib -r -a etc...) but still it doesn't work. It only says no hidden file or folder detected. What should I do? I really need those files on my flash drive. Please help me and thank you. - The brand of my flash drive is not listed below. It is CD-R King USB Flash Disk 4Gb. I'm from Philippines.

If i am right, your Flash is infected by virus and so files or folders are hidden, to unhide the hidden files and folders, you need to do a little trick or simple as the settings. Here we go.. Insert the flash drive - Open it in Windows Explorer - Click on the Tools on the Menu - Select Folder options - Click on the View Tab - next scroll down and select the Show Hidden Files - and again just below the show hidden files, you will see another option which is checked Hide Protected Operating Files, uncheck it and click yes. Hope this will help you, if you can follow this tip, please refer to my tip Show Hidden Files and Folder_1. Good luck..

Check the propeties of the Flash drive. It it most probably formatted using the FAT32 file system, which does not allow files larger than 2GB.
There is a way to format a flash drive using NTFS file system, but you will lose some capacity of the drive, and transfer speed will be a bit slower, gaining in return a possibility to transfer larger files.
Go to the following webpage for instructions:

Have you checked in disk management whether partition is active or not , It could be spyware or malware issue. Run chkdsk command in command prompt. Then check.

Hi!

You can try to format the flash drive first. Go to My Computer > Right click the flash drive and select Format. Once the format window opens, select Quick Format and click START. Please note that formatting your flash drive will wipe out all data.

I hope that helps.

Have a nice day!

Pictures in Flash Drive are gone

Windows Vista sucks, and there is one reason to prove it.
Was the folder ever a zip folder? Try changing the extention to .zip and see if that helps.
