Its the power board that seems to be at fault, First you will have to open the back of the monitor, there should be a few screws holding together, have a route around and find all the screws and undo them, gently prise the back off. Once off check the board where the power lead normally plugs into the monitor, your looking for cylindrical shaped componants with silver tops called capacitors, they are quite a comman fault issue of lcd monitors, First check to see if there are any brownish colour liquid resadues on the capacitors and the surrounding area, if there is the capcitor will need to be replaced, also check for domed or slightly pretruding tops they are ment to be completly flat, if there are any they will need to changed also.

Changing the capacitors require some soldering skills to desolder them from the board and resolder in the new ones, you will have to take the board out of the set in order to do this, there should be a couple of screws holding the board in place, these will have to undone, and the board removed from the metal housing.

Before changing them make a note a the value of the capacitors it should be written on the side of them, also make a note of which way around on the board they are positioned, if you get that wrong they will blow again. hope this helps post back if you need further assistance.cheers.

There should be a few buttons on the front of the monitor, press them until you get a menu up, there should be somewhere on the menu that restore factory default, goto that one and press one of the + buttons to restore it, there may be a sleep button on your keyboard, have a look around, if there is try pressing it, it may wake the monitor up. post back if you more difficulties. cheers.

Wf 7010. When I run a print check (nozzle check), it runs like it is doing it and the paper comes out blank.

try doing 3 head cleans without printing anything. leave the printer overnight to soak the print head in the purged ink. in the morning do another head clean then try a test print.

No back light on te Pavillion F1523

I have heard a lot in my years but never Condo not even from my Grandfather who was born in 1901, however back you your question, I have not seen Diagrams for the monitors those of us who are repairing these simply make note where the caps are that need to be replaced and then desolder them and install new caps at the same value as listed on the side of the cap we removed usually you don't need to do more than 6, most times its 1, I find and all is well again. I have never had an inverter fail it has always been the power board that has issues.

You are not alone with this problem. Some lines (like mine) run vertically rather than horizontally. The solution - sue HP. These screens have a known fault ie the Nvidia graphics chip is known to be the culprit. The company knows all about this issue but expect us to pay to put it right - sue them, you can do it online for around £35 (UK).
