We are talking about an electric chain saw ?
I would say you are not getting oil to the bar chain sprocket. Do you have enough bar oil in it ?

This is a typical answer from a woman. Would it really have a throttle if it was electric?

How do u set the darb screws on a mac cat 839 chainsaw

Turn both jet screws CW to stops (lightly), then back out CCW 1-1/2 turns each. Start the engine and allow to warm up. Open the throttle and adjust the H jet needle CW until the engine starts to speed up. Correct adjustment is when the engine 4-strokes at speed unloaded, but 2-strokes immediately when cutting. Release the throttle and adjust the L jet screw CW for better idle, yet allows the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Adjust the idle speed screw so that the engine continues to run, but the chain doesn't try to turn. Hope this helps!

Starts when cold but not when hot

Check the air cleaner for plugging. Don't use the choke when it's hot. Check the condition of the spark plug and the quality of the spark which should be blue and snappy. The internal insulator should be a tan color if running correctly (plug gap 0.020"). You may need to inspect the diaphragm in the lower part of the carburetor--it should be flexible with no holes or cracks. Turn the L jet needle CW somewhat until the engine will try to stall when the throttle is pulled, then back it up about 1/8 to 1/4 turn CCW until the engine will 'follow the throttle'. Hope this helps!

Need intructions on carberator adjustments for mac-3514 35cc/cm3 runs but hard to start after using it for few minutes.

There is a low speed jet and high speed. Low speed sets the idle or stays running without feathering the throttle./// When setting high speed, hold the throttle wide open until engine revs high, then turn back in(at least ¼ turn) to slow the engine which in turn gives the engine more gas and runs cooler. If you have it too lean on the high speed, it will be hot and hard to start. Sometimes using 40 to 1 mix helps with starting, especially on older chainsaw. good luck

Stalls during idle

Try setting the idle speed screw CW a little (not the two jet screws) until the engine will continue to idle, but not turn the chain. If this doesn't seem to help, then adjust L jet screw about 1/8 turn CCW. Hope this helps!

I have a new hasky 460 rancher stalls when given

If it stumbles at full throttle, the fast (high) idle screw is set too rich. Using your owner's manual, locate the high idle adjustment and back it off in very very small increments. Do this until the saw will run wide open without stumbling.

Saw starts, then stalls when you increase the throttle. Spark plug looks fairly clear. Ay ideas on where to look next?

Yes, you will need to disassemble carburetor and clean with carb. cleaner. If you need tips on how best to do this, just let me know. Or you may need a new carb. kit.
