Hi,
How long have you owned the printer? How long have you had this problem? Keep in mind if the camera does require repair. That the latest model of it is only about a 100$. Then you are getting all new parts with a new warranty. Most times this ends up being a much better investment of your money. Once I have more information I can assist you further.
Thank you,
Lee

    Hi,
Being the age of the printer I would consider replacement. It definitely sounds like it is need of repair. For how cheap you can get a new replacement with all new parts and better quality. You can sell your printer for parts on ebay or craigslist. As there are still parts that someone could use to repair another printer. If you need further assistance please let me know.
    Thank you,
    Lee

Try dabbing the bottom of the cartridge on a damp paper towel, a slightly wetter area will help clean the nozzles and then press in a dry area and look for each color to make a color streak. If yellow is missing you just have bad cartridges. There have been several people with the same complaint, could be the yellow evaporates faster, check the expiration date on the cartridge, hopefully you can return the defective cartridges for new or money back. No yellow on the towel means there's no yellow in the cartridge.

Try cleaning the contacts on both the cartridge and inside where they connect. A pencil eraser can clean the little copper squares on the cartridge and a towel wit alcohol can clean the pins inside where the cartridge connects, wipe off any rubber pieces from the eraser before re-installing. The colors are diluted after the wet towel but if you select clean cartridges in the maintenance menu from the front panel the diluted inks are restored. From the print reports in the menu selections you can print the printer status page that uses less ink.

Both the picture and sound work when the TV is turned on, yet the picture is distorted like a double picture and has a yellow hue to it.

Sounds like you have a convergence problem. If you go into the setup menu of your TV, there should be some settings to adjust the red, green and blue hues and re-position them so each color matches up. If this does not work or if you don't have a menu, your TV *might* have a circuit board with several plastic screws on it. These adjust the picture and it's a very tedious task to re-align each hue correctly.

My projection TV is an older model from 1995, which is probably why it has this circuit board in place of a convergence menu built into the TV.

If adjusting the convergence still doesn't work, you might need to purchase a new convergence chip.

Copies print with a magenta hue. The color yellow doesn't print out. Tried 3 cartriages all the same. Clean printer also.

Try dabbing the cartridges on a paper towel, if you don't see a yellow line, the yellow is just empty, many have had the same complaint, new cartridges with no yellow inside.

No ink on page

Clean the contact in the housing area and on the ink cartriage. If that does not work buy a new cartriage. The ink probably dried up in the nozzles. You can place the ink cartriage on a wet paper towel water or alcohal and press the cartriage into the towel. If you see no ing replace.

Yellow Hue when color copying

I understand your situation, however let me explain you that whenever you try to make a copy or print, yellow cartridge takes part and provides its color in all the aspects. Please do check that you use the HP ink cartridges and try to clean the cartridges for every 15 days as this may reduce the issues of colors.
