I understand that you are looking to replace your remote control. My research suggests that the Philips website lists your remote (part number 996500044340 or RC1113336/00) as 'No Longer Available'.
My picture does not fill - 4ecd7b9.jpg

So does nearly everywhere else. Some alternatives from RCA and Philips here.

I hope that helps.

If you are talking about viewing pictures into computer ..this depends if it is a lanscape or a portrait picture,,,the first one should fill it ..if the window in which you are viewing them is enlarged to the maximum from the square in the middle in the right corner -up...
also the issue may be in this case from the program you are using to view them...for best view..clic right on one picture...than properties..and than change ..than choose windows picture and fax viewer from the list ..click apply and ok ..this should do the job..
If you are talking about viewing them on a tv by cable from the camera ..this also depends on the form of the picture...if it is vertical(portrait) will not fill the screen ..but if it is landscape ..it should have in the viewing menu... enlarging features..
Also you are talking maybe about the picture that you put as background on your desktop.. in this case to make it full screen ..right click on ...desktop / properties..than desktop///in this window..you have 3 choices in the right side..on the position case.. choose stretch ..and click aply ..this will make the picture full screen ..
If I misunderstood your question ..please explain a little ....
have a nice day ..!

I understand that is a Philips..so this is easy ..philips has the most common band in remote controls and it will fit almost any remote you will get your hands on ...but ..the best solution is an universal Pilot remote ..or even a mini universal without code ...from ebay ..like this one.http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-PHILIPS-UNIVERSA...
In what regard the picture you was talking about ..now I understand that you was talking about the image of the television ..probably ..but if it is not on the whole screen this is not something that you can fix from settings..it is a matter of ..electronics inside..on the image board a condenser or so ...

by ethe way ..if you know that you messed aroud with the remote ..that you should look for a reset button ..or for the controls for vertical and horizontal size and fix it back .....this may work also if you press pp...or normal on some remotes....
If the tv has a menu ..look in the menu for vertical and horizontal size..or restore feature

Picture out of screen on all sides from ariel and digibox

Your tremote should have a format or aspect button. Push it untill the picture fills your screen currectly. If this does not help, then you will need to find the screen settings on your cable or sat box.

Make the picture fill the screen

The TV will produce a picture that is set by the aspect ratio of the film. You can however expand to an unatural size to fill the whole screen.

Picture does not fill the screen

Check the main output voltage (B+) from its SMPS regulator side. If this voltage is lesser than normal, picture won't fill the entire screen. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy. Surf the site with patience.

New 39" Insignia TV . I have a picture on the screen that doesn't fill the screen. It is about 4" short on each side. How can I get it to a full screen

if its a even 4 inch border on each side the set is in the 4x3 format, look for a button on the remote (read owner manual) for aspect.

I cannot figure out how to fill the screen with an image. It has the black side strips instead of a full screen image.

If you were to go to the picture menu and select picture aspect ratio and select 16 X 9 or a different one that you have at present, that will fill the screen.

The Vizio HDTV sets are all software driven. With the remote control select the menu option.
Then under the picture tab. look for the picture format full screen, wide screen. select the wide screen option. This setting should fill the screen.
