Question about Televison & Video
I have been trying to tape t.v. shows to disc with no luck. ( I have a Magnavox ZV450MW8.) I go through the timer recording/programming process, but the next day nothing has been saved to the disc. I think there might be some confusion for me with the channel part of programming. I have satellite, so it says to select E1 or E2 for input, but it doesn't allow you to put in a number for the channel when trying to set up for timer recording. The manual says that if you have an external input, which I do, then I need to use those. Using the other choices of analog or DTV, it won't take the higher, three digit channel numbers when trying to set the timer. I'm not sure I even understand the difference between analog and digital anyway.
I have the machine set up to record a couple of shows tomorrow using the VCR, so we'll see what happens. Help!!
A Scart lead is a high quality lead for connecting AV devices, it has 21 pins in the plug at each end. If you are using one you would need to select E1 or AV1 for the Satellite channel and you would select each Sky channel through the Sat. Decoder, not tune them in individually on the recorder.

Do you have a scart lead connected to E1 or E2 on the recorder.
