Question about Olympus Camedia E-10 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Power problem I was trying to get the Olympus working with a DC power and the rubber protector says 6.5V. I have tried with a lab power supply and the camera just flashes ones and goes dead. The battery light is flashing. I have tried everything from 5V to round 7V and but nothing seems to do it. There is no shortage on current since this is a beefy lab supply... Now the camera has gone dead and I'm afraid I have blown anything inside it since it would not start up with just batteries in the camera. It might be that the camera has locked it self in some form of mode since the screen was flashing for a brief time so is there a Alt-Ctr-Del version to this ? Thanks K

Konica minolta c654 control panel not turning on i change the control panel + cable + MFP + PRCB + SSD + DC POWER supply and the panel still not turning on

WOW!!! Did you check with a volt meter if the 120 was coming into the machine at the DC power supply, check the noise filters. Which power supply? Recommend ensuring 120VAC from the wall outlet is good. Surge protector is good. It also might be the fuser unit magnetic coil control. These class of copier uses a magnetic field to produce the heat. So when you replace the fuser a good part of that assembly stays with the machine. Which cable?

Can't get this Roland adapter model ACH-120.

I see that´s a pretty expensive power supply.

option 1: buy an equivalent power supply and adapt the cord.
IN: AC 120V 60Hz 12W
OUT: DC +10 V 500mA
DC -10 V 150mA

option 2: Build a new power supply by a kit
something like this:
http://electronics-lab.com/projects/power/011/DUAL%20VOLTAGE%20POWER%20SUPPLY.JPG

Change the 7812 and 7912 by 7810 and 7910. you will get the 10V needed.

option 3: you can try to repair the power supply. check if there is no broken wires or a blown thermal fuse in the transformer.

Had power surge. Tv was on surge protector. Now no power will come on and just makes a buzzing sound.

Have you tried plugging it in without the surge protector? I would wager that either a) the surge protector needs to be reset/turned on and off depending on the model or b) either your TV and/or surge protector have been damaged by the power surge.

Try plugging the TV straight into the outlet and see if that helps.

Today we lost power to our home. Blinked first then dimmed and then went out completely. When power was restored, I tried to turn my computer on but the switch light would not come on. No power except...

If the computer was not plugged into a surge protector the computer could be damaged. If it was plugged into into a surge protector see if there is a reset on the surge protector .Try unplugging the computer for a few minutes and the plug it in again and try it. You can try plugging the computer into a different outlet that you know is working(without the surge protector). If you look on the power supply there may be a reset inside the case.
If nothing works you may have only burnt out the power supply in the computer, you could try another power supply from another computer to see if it is just the power supply. If still not working you would have to test and trouble shoot all your parts to see what is damaged.
Thanks for using FixYa

Unable to get power supply to the speakers

Not all Creative Lab speakers are the same. Which model do you have?
Do the speakers use 110V AC power, or do you have a "brick" of an AC adapter, to change the voltage, and to convert AC to DC?

My 5800 keeps telling me to unlock it when I click scan, but I can't find the lock anywhere.

The 5800 scanner does not have a physical lock switch. DO NOT attempt to open the scanner and unlock the hardware. This could be either a hardware failure or software
Toggle the lock switch on the scanner leaving the switch in the unlocked (open padlock) position.
Ensure you are using the correct power supply for your scanner. If you are using a power supply that has the incorrect DC output, you will get a scanner locked error message. This flatbed scanners has I believe 100-120V AC input and 12V DC output.

Plug the power directly to the wall, not a UPS battery back-up, power strip or surge protector. Power fluctuations from a UPS battery back-up, power strip or surge protector may be causing this error. If all this fails try reinstalling the scanner driver

Got flat screen as a gift

This monitor requires a power supply with a POSITIVE tip polarity.
Monitor requires 12 Volt DC @ 3.3 Amps output.
Make sure voltage is 12 Volts DC [absolute requirement]

Power Supply can have greater than 3.3 Amp capacity. More amp capacity increases price, so I wouldn't go for more than 5 Amps [minimum 3300 milliAmps, 5000 milliAmps will be more than adequate].

Put a surge protector on your computer and monitor to extend their life....better yet, a power conditioning battery backup system, that can supply constant voltage, to compensate line voltage when A/C, furnace, or other major appliance kicks on.

E-100 generic AC Adapter?

I doubt you can use 300 mA adapter, because Oly C2100 needs 2000 mA at 6,5V. E100RS construction seems to be very similar.
