Question about Lexmark X4270 All-In-One InkJet Printer
With your printer turned on, go to control panel, and select SYSTEM, then select DEVICE MANAGER. Here you can see all devices and peripherals hooked up to your computer. It might be under IMAGING DEVICES. If you don't see your device listed, it is not installed/correctly. If you DO see it, but there is a yellow triangle next to it, it means there is a driver or other error involved with it.
Right click your printer (if it IS there), and select PROPERTIES. The GENERAL tab will show if the device is working properly or not. Select the second tab DRIVER, and click on update driver just to be sure. If all looks okay like it should, then maybe you just need to enable sharing on the printer.
Hope this helps.
