Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 -- disables other audio inputs???

I am running Win 7 on desktop computer. The Webcam install disk doesn't work with Win 7, but I found a beta release [Oct 2009] for Logitech software-driver for Win 7 on the Logitech site and installed it.

PROBLEM: That software has disable all other audio inputs which I use with other programs. When I uninstall Logitech, all the other sound inputs works OK. If this is indeed a "bug" in Logitech software/drivers, then the camera is useless for me.

Cant get computer to recognize web cam

The Quickcam Pro 9000 is only compatible with PC, Windows XP SP2 at least.

If your virtual PC runs Windows 7, there is a known issue running it in Windows 7. If this is the case, I suggest to contact the manufacturer.

There is one made for MAC though; QUICKCAM vision PRO. Manufacturer's part number is 960-000254.

Hope this helps! Please don't forget to rate or vote. All the best!

It is possible your webcam is either disabled or the driver is corrupted. Try reloading the webcam software driver, reboot, and then try the free webcam test tool to check if it is working properly.

Cam won't work on windows 7

That particular Cam is for Win 98SE, 2000, ME or XP so won't work on Win 7. The Logitech Pro 9000 will work with Win 7 and is HD quality and excellent audio (Amazon has great deals on them). Google Logitech Vid if you get one then send an invite to connect to your contacts. They too will have to download the Logitech Vid software for 'Live' calling, and the Cam will work in MSN Messenger.

I have version 4.0.0.206 of Skype. Don't know whether this works on versions below that. If in doubt update your version of Skype, the current version is 4.1, click here to download it if needed.

Within Skype, click Tools, Options

Click on Audio Setting, in the General Tab. Now under the microphone section, click on the down arrow and select your other device and then click 'Save'.

If the other device is not present it may need to be re-installed, Nik.

If this helps click YES below.
