If it has a drop down door with hinge on either side, then only solution is to replace both door hinges, as the problem is usually due to weak door springs, and they are not adjustable.

Thankyou.

Door is locked after self cleaning

Most ovens with self-clean cycles have a door lock to keep things closed when it ramps up the the extreme heat levels for cleaning. Usually, the door will stay locked until the thermostat sensor says that the oven is back down at or close to room temperature. If you just finished the cleaning cycle, you'll likely need to wait a while longer.

My whirlpool double oven lower door won't stay closed all the way. model RBD305PD810. is there an adjustment that is needed?

If it is a drop down door, then you need to replace both door hinges, if it is a door that opens sideways, then it is probably the door catch, or door striker that needs to be replaced.

Thanks.

Oven not working properly

Hi,

Two possibilities for you to look at:

i) Draughts can adversly affect the operation of an oven burner, close all doors and windows.......does this improve it?

ii)If the above doesn't work then you have either a fault with the incoming gas supply (rare) or there is a fault with a component called an FSD (Flame Safeguard Device) I would highly recommend a 'Gas Safe' engineer take a look at it for you.

I hope this helps.

KEBS208DSS6 doors wont close compleat

Place a hammer handle between the door and the frame at the hinge location.
Carefully apply pressure on the door to push the door closed.
This will often re-set range door hinges.

Kitchenaid oven door will not stay closed

I had the same problem on my parents Kitchenaid KEMS378GWH0 oven, the door would only close enough to keep the light on. They propped a chair against it to cook. My father replaced the hinges and it worked for about a week. He noticed that pulling outward on the door at the very bottom edge often allowed it to close enough to use.
After completely dismantling the oven to get access to the brackets that the hinges slide into, we found it was not broken. We decided to expand on the only near solution we had and find a way to make the bottom of the door 'push out'. Our solution was very simple. Remove the small metal plate that covers the door insulation. This revealed that the insulation is a braided hollow rope that is held in by small clips that push through holes in the front of the oven. We threaded some small metal rods about 3/8 inch in diameter into the hollow insulation pushed the clips back in to re-attach the insulation, replaced the metal cover plate.
It worked!
