This would depend on what email client you are using, what is in the email, etc.

Are you using web-based email (hotmail, gmail, etc) or a client like Outlook, Outlook express, etc?

What are you trying to print (graphics, text)

Try this, select what you want to print and copy it into a word processor (Word, Works, Wordperfect) then try to print it from there, see what happens.

Go to www.partsurfer.hp.com and look under support for your model. There's a fix for that problem that you download and install to the printer. Also in internet tools you'll find choices to set for printing from the internet.

Assuming you are using MS Excel, try going into page setup, sheet, and check the setting for 'print black & white'. If it is checked, then try unchecking it.

I want to remove the date at the bottom of the page when it prints

Information in Headers and Footers come from whatever program you are printing from, not from the printer. Go into whatever program you print from and make the changes.

Printing date and time

Click on Page Setup

Click on Custom Header or Footer, depending on where you want to see date and time.

You will see Left, Center, Right Sections, place your cursor wherever you want to set date and time.

You will also see 9 Icons above 3 sections, mouse over on Icon and it will show what they are.

Click on time and set the time

Click on Date and set the date

You can also add your header image by adding image to it.

I hope you will be able to get it.

Cheers

Can't print an email

  1. Open up Yahoo your Email, (either Classic or new version) click on your Inbox to view messages.
  2. Double click (or click on the subject line to open if using Yahoo email classic) the message that contains the desired message or photo you wish to print.
  3. Locate and click the "printer icon" (the picture looks like a printer) on the top of Yahoo email or go to the File menu at the top of your web browser and click "print."

If you are using Yahoo email classic, they have a selection (once you are inside of an email message) on the top--to the right of the screen that allows you to click "printable view."

A new window will open up and your entire email will appear. Click "print," which is underlined, at the top right of the screen.
  4. A dialog box will pop up and ask you to confirm, click the "OK" button on the bottom of the screen.
  5. Your entire yahoo email message should print out fully (not just the header). This is good for articles, messages and photos you wish to keep.
  6. Bear in mind that one page on the screen is not equivalent to one printed page, in fact, it may be quite a few more pages.

If you only wish to print one page: select file, print and click on the second radio button in front of "pages 1 of 1."

Or, specify 2 or 3, for example. If you know it will run into more pages.
Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the box to start printing.
You can always reprint if it doesn't print correctly.
  7. These steps will work for either Yahoo email classic or the newer version of Yahoo mail.

Hi,  I thought that I answered the question in the original contact. Yes, the problem was solved and I am happy with the result. I am the owner of an iMAC - APPLE computer and I do not have 'Word' or 'Note Pad' in my system preferences and that caused some delay in reaching the solution.   The incoming e-mail was to blame. Thank You, Mary-Ann Peckler (Sandymap)

Date code or time code

date & time is already stored in EXIF header. If you want them to appear visible, there're a lot of software will do that. Use QImage Pro to print, and i can print date & time on it, or save to files. If you use Linux, you can write simple script to put date & time stamp on JPG files.
