A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Does black smoke come out of the exhaust pipe when you floor it? Is so, it is running rich. Make sure fuel pressure is with in limits. A bad regulator may permit too much pressure. Also check the MAP sensor. Make sure it is getting vacuum.

My 1995 chevy tahoe runs good until my check gages light comes on

unfortunately on this type of service (internet) it is hard to deterine what is causing the check lamp to come on.........but the reason it is running bad is a thing called "limp home" mode. previuosly, if cars had a fault that was serious enough, the computer would shut the car down, having it to be towed
these days the limp home mode was established, because if the car was driven with the fault, then it would cause excessive damage.

my advice would be to take it to a chevy dealership and get them to diagnose ONLY, then come back and we will share what we can do with it

Depends on what thermostat you put in. Stock is a 190*. Which will usally run about 200-210. That's where most all small blocks are happy.

No fuel is spraying out of the injectors during start on 1995 chevy Tahoe. Will start most times with a shot of starter spray, but not every time. Problem is intermitten and truck will start for a couple...

might be dirt in the fuel tank. watch the level it happens. if its half way down. then you may need to use the fuel up and try a sludge remover. type in sludge remover on computer you get amaco or something. about £6 sent in post put it in tank before filling it cleans sludge.
