Have you tried resetting it? Hold down the top button for like five seconds, you should get a slide to power off message, turn it off, turn it back on (you should see the grey apple logo in the middle of the screen for a few seconds) . In my experience, these are pretty solid machines and the cycling will clear the connection settings associated with the cable.

How do i get my ipod to stop locking itself randomly

If your iPod is jailbroken, this is perfectly understandable and are one of the disadvantages of jailbreaking. On the other hand, if it is not jailbroken, then you may have to restore your iPod on iTunes to the default settings :D

Your ipod touch is on shuffle. To take your shuffle off there should be a shuffle button at the bottom , by your music list.

I just jailbroke my ipod touch now were do i go to download cydia on the itouch

If you have Jailbroken your Ipod touch/Iphone, the Cydia app should be available to use. If it is not available, then your Ipod touch has not been Jailbroken, and the method used to jailbreak failed.

My ipod touch will not pick up my finger and my ipod is jailbroken. How do i get the touch sensor back?

Try a hard reset by holding down the top power button with the from button at the same time for about 15-18 seconds or till it turns off. Then turn back on.

My ipod is displaying a plug connector white , pointing to the Itunes logo and will not work.what does this mean

Is it jailbroken? If it is and you turned it off all the way then you are going to probably have to rerun the software that you used to jailbreak it. If you didn't jailbreak it, then you are going to have to restore the itouch so and redo everything.

My ipod touch is disabled for about thirty years and i can only turn it on and off!

Two reasons this is disabled for so long.

1. You have entered the incorrect 'power on' password many, many times.

2. You have jailbroken (jailbreak) your iPod Touch and one of the apps you have installed has caused the problem. Possibly a malicious app.

Two ways to fix it. Either wait 4317939 minutes or restore it using iTunes.

The first link below gives details of why a non-jailbroken iPod Touch is disabled.

Second link gives instructions on how to restore your iPod Touch using iTunes.

Ipod touch as become disabled wont allow me to do anything with it apart from switch off

  1. Power off the device (Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the the iPod touch to turn off.
  2. Press and hold the Home button while reconnecting the USB cable to iPod. When you reconnect the USB to iPod, the device should then power on.
  3. Continue holding the Home button while iPod starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo.
  4. When you see "Connect to iTunes" on the screen, you can release the Home button and iTunes will display the recovery mode message:
  5. Restore and it'll download ~240mb firmware and you're done
Warning: you will lose all your data

Ipod touch stuck on itunes and cable connector

Hold power and home to restart it (You might have to hold it for like 30 seconds)  Hold the Home button down as soon as, and for as long as you see the little silver apple.
After about two minutes if it' still there release, and it'll enter recovery mode, and from there just plug it back in to the computer. You might have to repeat the process about 2 or 3 times, especially if it's jailbroken.
Also, try holding down the home button while plugging it into the computer. It'll try to bring the ipod into recovery mode as well.
