Canon iP 1600 printer won't print. Says that

Error 6000
An error occurred in the LF encoder signal.
Can be the result of a deep paper jam with pins, paper or other miscellaneous objects stuck in there.

Check the unit and clean thoroughly.

try to reset your Canon printer, turn the printer off with the power button. Then disconnect the data cable from the printer. Unplug the printer's power cord for approximately 10 minutes, and then plug it back in. If troubleshooting a communication issue, reconnect the data cable. Then turn the printer back on.

it maybe the sensers which tell the faults has moved out of position or wires loose

You may not see a paper jam, so this is worth trying.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.

That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.

possible that there is a very small piece of paper near the edge or back that the sensor is picking up ... check again and see if there is something there

Under the circumstances go to control and click on printer. Clear all the printing jobs. Switch off the printer and the computer. Wait for sometime and restart the computer and the printer. This should clear your problem.

I have a problem of canon Mp180 printer. The problem is paper jam. When we start the print process and clear the process. It shows a message cancel printing.
