First, check for any error codes:

The speedometer is capable of displaying & clearing speedometer , tachometer TSM/TSSM , HFSM , ECM , ABS Diagnostic Trouble Codes also known as DTC's.

1 - Turn the ignition switch to off & run/stop switch is to run .
2 - Push odometer reset button in & HOLD .
3 - Turn the ignition switch on and then release odometer reset button . The background lighting should illuminate & the speedometer needle should sweep it's full range & indicator lamps ( battery , security , low fuel , check engine and cruise ) should illuminate . The word "DIAG" should then appear .
4 - Push the odometer reset button once and you will see the selection menu "PSSPtb" with the first P flashing .
5 - Each letter represents a area of the diagnostics module . The module that is flashing is the one you are going to check . To move from one letter to the next you must push the odometer reset button one time . ( from P to S to SP to t to b and back to P , ect ect )
P = ECM
S = TSM/TSSM/HFSM
SP = speedometer
t = tachometer
b = ABS codes
6 - To get the DTC code in a area of diagnostics you should PUSH & HOLD the odometer reset button in for 5 seconds and the release . If there are any DTC's the code will be displayed or the word " none " will appear if there are no DTC's . Push the odometer reset button again to view any additional codes if they exist .
7 - Record the codes .
8 - If DTC's are NOT to be cleared , press and release the odometer reset button . Part #of module will be displayed .
9 - If DTC's are to be cleared for that module , PRESS & HOLD the odometer reset button until " clear " is displayed .

How to get fault coedes of a harley 2013 sportster custom

To enter diagnostic mode press and hold the trip odometer

reset switch while turning the IGN ON.

2. Release the trip odometer reset switch. "diag" will appear

on the odometer display.

3. Press and release the trip odometer reset switch. "PSSPtb"

will appear on the odometer display.

4. PSSPtb indicates the different modules that could display

codes if equipped.

Table 2-1. Modules That Set DTCs

DESIGNATOR MODULE

P ECM codes

S TSM, TSSM or HFSM codes

SP Speedometer codes

t Tachometer codes

b ABS codes

5. Quickly press and release the trip odometer reset switch

to cycle through the letters. The letters will flash as they

are selected.

6. Once the corresponding letter is flashing to the desired

module press and hold the trip odometer reset switch.

7. If no DTCs are present, "none" will appear on display.

8. If any DTCs are stored in the module, either current or

historic, they will appear on the odometer. Quickly pressing

and releasing the trip odometer reset switch will cycle

through the stored DTCs.

NOTE

The ECM will show "no rsp" if the engine stop switch is not in

the RUN position. Verify the engine stop switch is in the RUN

position.

9. If odometer displays "no rsp" then the motorcycle may not

be equipped with the module. If the motorcycle is equipped

with the selected module then go to other modules and

look for applicable communication codes.

10. When all the DTCs have been cycled the odometer will

display "end".

11. To clear all the DTCs in that module press and hold the

trip odometer reset switch. If DTCs are not to be cleared

quickly press and release the trip odometer reset switch.

The part number of the module will be displayed.

12. Press and release the trip odometer reset switch again to

continue to the next module.
13. Turn the IGN OFF to exit diagnostic mode.

Clear engine codes

In the diagnostic mode, when you're in the diagnostic module with the error code(s), clear the displayed code by pushing in and holding the odometer reset button ( longer than 5 seconds) until 'clear' comes up. Release the odometer reset button.

Odometer flashing

You need to specify which light is flashing. I'm assuming it's the engine light. It could be a range of things. You need to hook up an OBD II to your vehicle and check the fault code. An auto electrician can do this or you could buy an OBD II for around $200.

Hi, how do i put off ''maintenance required'' sign on my toyota camry 2007 car dashboard?Just did the servicing, the sign is still there?

with the key in the off position press and hold the odometer trip reset button on the dash. Turn the key to the run position while continueing to hold the reset button, do not start the car. The odemeter display should change to all dashes and then the dashes will start to go off one at a time. Once they are all out the odometer will display all zeros and then return to its normal display. Sometimes the trip A odometer needs to be displayed before starting and sometimes the trip B.

Your owners manual will give you some more insight if needed.
