Question about Samsung BD-P1600 Blu-ray Disc Player
Purchased Samsung BD-P1600 Blu-ray Disc Player in December 2009. Have not had a problem playing regular or Bluray DVDs until yesterday. We were watching a DVD then the picture became pixilated (mostley little gray boxes) then the picture would come back for few seconds and then again become pixilated. Tried another disc after blowing out drive bay and same issue. Switched HDMA cables still same issue. Any ideas?
I called Samsung with the same issue. After verifying the latest firmware was installed, they suggested I send the unit in for service. I expect it back sometime this week, and DVD playback will be the first thing I test.

I had this problem with mine, found fingerprints on discs, just cleaned the discs and no problem after that.
