    Hi again,

Appreciate the post back and would do my best to walk you through.

I am assuming that you have downloaded and installed Yahoo Messenger. Further, you have already signed up with it, have your own Yahoo ID and can log in to your account.

Once the YM window/box is open, click on Messenger (top left), click on "Yahoo! Chat", then click on :Join a room". Anew windowwill pop up with various chat categories, select your choice, on the right box of the window, the available rooms would be displayed, should there be a "+" sign, it would mean that there are several more rooms inside, clicking on it would expand to display the names. Click on a room of your choice to highlight and click on the button "Go to room". New window will open "Connecting to Yahoo! Chat". Once it shows "Connected", pls click on "Enter Chat" button. In most instances, YM would require that you verify your account by clicking on the posted link that will open a new web browser window. This step is required before you can begin chatting. Next page would be a verification page where you would need to enter "characters" displayed. Once the verification code is correctly entered and your account is verified, then you would be redirected to the actual Chat Room.

Hope this be of help to you.

    and Hi again,

If for some reason, new windows will not pop up or something won't work as expected, you may need to:
    1. check that your browser allows pop ups;
    2. verify that your anti-virus will allow chats in Yahoo Messenger;
    3. your firewall and security locks will allow you chat.

    Cheers.

I changed nick name but not show in chat room.

Hi there,

At the Join Room Window, you must select your nickname on the "Join Room as:your nickname"

You can find it on the upper right section of the Room Window, this is where you select first the room that you will enter.

If the nickname still not showing on that section, make sure that you already add your nickname on the aliases.

For some clarification and request how to add aliases just let me know.

Hello...i wanna ask sumthin'...can a person@anyone do anything to my id(in chat room)bcoz...i had smbody...treatening me that he'll do smthing to my acc.or id...as i heard he use smthing that call...

Hello,

I myself is a big time user of yahoo messenger and a regular chatter of 2 chat rooms and using yahoo from past 7 years.

This is true that he/she can change your account information and even can hack it !! its quite a regular thing these days because of loop holes in yahoo account security.

DON'T EVER USE YOUR MAIN ID (THE ID IN WHICH YOU ADD FRIENDS )

Booters (who can disconnect you from messenger wither by hanging your yahoo messenger or by making you forcefully signout from messenger) and hackers are there on yahoo.

I got solution/s for this problem:-

1-use ysupra chat client. Its freely downloadable..you can search on google to download it freely,it provides a lot of security to out accounts while we use our id in chat rooms. This is the best chat client till date.

2-Make ids with numbers, like my id is eric_the_hunk27...i have made other ids with numbers like eric_the_hunk22..21...25..26. AND DONT ADD ANYONE ON THESE IDS.MAKE THESE IDS JUST FOR CHAT ROOMS.This helps a lot ,first people in chat room will recognise you.On ysupra..almost 99% of the booters can't boot you,its very safe.

2-while using ysupra, you can simultaneously sign -in in your yahoo messenger too,use yahoo messenger to sin\gn in with your main id (the id in which you add friends and want to be safe and secure from any kind of attack),don't use your main ID in chat room ever.

3- incase you want to add soneone in chat room to your main id,then you just have to send add request from your main id to that person..that's easy..just type the id of that person to whom you want to add in "type id here" in your yahoo messenger and then press enter, then add the person.

IN THIS WAY,YOU WILL BE VERY VERY SECURE...

ALMOST 99% OF THE HACKERS ON YAHOO HACK THE ACCOUNTS WHEN THE PERSON TO WHOME THEY WANT TO HACK IS IN CHAT ROOM.ITSD BECAUSE THEY CAN TRACE YOUR IP ADDRESS IN CHAT ROOM.

SO,IF YOU DON'T TAKE YOUR MAIN ID IN CHAT ROOM..THEY WONT BE ABLE TO HACK YOUR ID...

AND IF THEY HACK THE CHAT ROOM ID THAN ITS NOT AN ISSUE BECAUSE YOU WONT BE HAVING FRIENDS IN THOSE IDS..AND YOU WOULD BE USING THOSE IDS JUST FOR CHAT ROOMS...

YOU CAN MAKE AT MAX 6 IDS FROM YAHOO MESSENGER IN 24 HOURS TIME...I GUESS THIS IS MORE THAN SUFFICIENT...LOL

ENJOY YAHOO...AND THE SOLUTION

BUT PLEASE.....DON'T FORGET TO RATE(VOTE) ME...

THANKS IN ADVANCE...

HAVE A NICE TIME AHEAD !!!!!

I cant get in chatroom, i doesnt create room list

Hi,

To make a chat room:-
Click on Action, scroll down to Invite a Conference.. and chose any of your friends to chat..

In general:

Yahoo! chat has been problematic for most everyone who tries to enter rooms over the last year .
Billions of Yahoo! website users from all over the world who love to chat, try to enter into the chat room as it's free,so it's server is always busy and not supposed to get you in immediately you ask for it, wait, have patience and you'll have your request accepted.

You might need to first check some settings on your PC.
In your Messenger window:
1. Click on Messenger.
2. Click on Preferances.
3. Click on General.
4. Check box says: "Open web links in new browser window."
5. Check box that says: "Automatically sign me in when I click on a Yahoo link in Messenger."
6,.) Click on Apply.
7.) Click on OK.

If that does not work, you might also need to check these settings:
1.) On your Internet Exploer toolbar, click on tools.
2.) Click on Internet Options.
3.) Click tab that says Programs.
4.) Near the bottom Where it says Default Web Browser, make sure Internet Explorer IS the default web browser.
5.) Click on Apply.
6.) Click on OK.

When the chat room loads wait about 3-5 minutes before clicking "Enter" , that works well for me . Otherwise just keep trying over and over and over usually takes alot of tries . Most likely your giving up too easily . Once you get into the room add it to your favorite rooms , then instead of having to wait for the room list to come up use "Join chat room" >> "Favorites" . Sometimes that works faster .

Also if you are not 18 it wont let you in...Find out in here

Hope this helped

When i enter the chat room i get an error and un able to chat with any one

you dont indicate if what internet connection are you using, maybe your internet connection is coming from another computer through residential gateways that your connection has been firewalled, thats why everytime you entered to a chatroom you are disconnected..

or if your using a direct connection maybe you dont enter a right verification code cause before you enter to such yahoo messenger rooms there is a verification request to be filled up, for spam use
