Try to download lenovo energy/power management driver and application from consumersupport.lenovo.com. It is the lenovo propreitary software to configure the power options of your computer. make sure you locate the s/n number of your computer first because it will be asked by the website. the Serial number of your computer should start with EB

Win xp home hibernate no longer works


Right click on an empty area of your Desktop. Select Properties. Select the Screen Saver tab. Click the Power button. Click the Hibernate tab. Select the Hibernate check box.

If you can't check the hibernate option it is because you don't have enough disk space. Delete old pictures and videos that you have already backed up to make some space.

System standby and system hibernation is greyed out in the acer epower mgmt screen and standby is also greyed out when i click on turn off computer. Any idea how to get these functions back


if it is windows xp right click on a blank part of the desktop go to properties go to screensaver tab then to power tab at bottom.....at the botom of power options set standby also go to hibernation tab and enable hibernation this should make them available after reboot

I reinstall win xp and i need the followings

There is no longer an option to standby/hibernate. It used to go into hibernate when I would close the laptop lid, now nothing happens, and seems like even screen is still working. In Power Options the...


no need to driver just insert you orginal windows cd and selsct upgarad option and you after you problem is resove 100%.............my comitment

Enable standby and hibernation in my laptop again


You can manually re-enable the Hibernate option via command prompt using these instructions:
  1. Click the Start button.
  2. Select All Programs > Accessories
  3. Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator .
  4. At the command prompt enter
    "powercfg -h ON"
  5. Close the command prompt window.

Inactive standby option
