Question about NetGear MR814 Wireless Router
I recently obtained an old NetGear MR814 (version 1 with detachable antenna and orange model number on back [site shows blue]) When I plug it in, nothing happens. If you take off the cover or look in the back grill then you see a green led turn on. If you hold the reset switch down the led will start blinking. I assume the firmware is wipped out and this is the service mode coming on. Is there a way to reflash the unit or do I have a paper weight? When you plug it in, nothing happens on the front status lights. Thanks.
It sounds like a brick to me. When you plug in a LAN cable do you get an IP address? If not it's not worth pursuing.
