Missing screws for rode ntg-2

Heeeeeeeeelp!

I have a
rode ntg-2and it has at some stage (not by me) been dismantled whilst on a lend out and is missing the screws which hold it together. I can't for the life of me find their dimensions so I can order replacements.

Can anyone help, please?

The battery has been left for too long inside the mic. It has leaked, fusing the battery shut inside. Unscrewing it anti clockwise, it does not move. I have unscrewed the top part (taking out the 5 screws) - everything here looks clean and ok - but I can't get to the lower half where the battery compartment is.

The screws are almost positively METRIC. Find a vendor that sells metric screw products in your area.

The cable is jammed in the sebo hoover winding unit, gentle persuasion wont get it out - how do I get to the cable to unjam it?

Have you tried holding down the release button whilst pulling out the cable? It could be the clutch mechanism has not released or engaged.. Assuming the cable didn't double wrap at some point.if this fails it may require you to dismantle from the base.i have worked on sebo vacs , they are a German company and very well made that can withstand harsh treatment without bits breaking off.but if you do decide to dismantle...disconnect from mains power source....take photos at each stage and be methodical ...keep screws to together for each section and if you come across springs try not to remove them before you know how they locate back into the correct positions when it goes back together.good luck!

How do you open up a Sony rm-gd008 remote for cleaning?

  1. Maybe worth a shot, carefully thou
  2. Remove 2 * screws under battery cover
  3. front of remote: slide down the bottom cover (where rec, pause, etc option is)
  4. push both egdes of the slide area outwards, to totally remove this slide cover
  5. further more, now push both the above slide edges even more .. till bottom of (front face) cover loosens up. Whilst lifting this only a little at a time ...
  6. Gently remove /loosens only lower ends (only at this stage) of the 2 silver edge stripes... by .. lifting up (away from face of remote) ..whilst .. moving them outwards. ** i.e up, then outwards) Do not remove top edge of silver tip yet
  7. start separating left n right egdes with sharp flat point from under silver side strip, " digging" downwards towards bottom of remote
  8. At this point, the top edge of remote may be separated, but not necessary.. if you can pull insides out from bottom, PREFFERED OR .. can be done by:
  9. using flat edge - loosen/pry 1cm from corner on top tip of edge left n right digging downwards n outwards towards bottom of remote .. enough gap to use a little pressure if you must
  10. then if feasible, separate remote face .. also 1cm from right n left corner alongst each side from top corner
  11. .. now can remove silver side strip completey.
  12. Hope this helps, cheers

View Finder Problem on Sony HDR FX1E

Hello Sir,
Well this sound like the shutter may be trapped, either by a knock or heat on the system, maybe you could take it to camera shop and let them see.

I plug my rode ntg-2 into the computer and record using audacity and the recording is extremely low in volume.

This mic needs phantom power to operate. Best bet, go and buy a USB mic pre, such as a M-Audio product.

This mic, I believe also runs on a battery, when phantom power is not available...so check the battery.

Or, simply, your record levels are set too low.

Connection problem with rode ntg-2

If you look at the side of the microphone at that end there should be a small hole. Using long nose pliers grasp one of the pins and pull the jack all the way out to make sure that no wires have broken loose. Look on the side of this (plastic?) piece and you will notice a small screw with a slot in it. Using the pliers again, insert the piece back into the microphone gently and line the screw up with the hole. There should be only one way to do this as the piece has a protrusion that guides it down a slot in the microphone. Once the screw is lined up use a small enough flat blade screw driver to fit the hole. Screw the screw out, Yes Out. What this does is secure thje plug in place and provide a ground to the microphone. Please let me know how you make out.

You'll want to connect it to any mic input using either an XLR cable, or an adaptor cable or transformer appropriate for your input, e.g., 1/4" or 3.5mm.

Possibly high intermediate pressure. slight second stage free flo

It is a HORRIBLE idea for you to dismantle your first stage. It should only be done by a trained technician because of how many small parts there are... now depending on your regulator you might have the ability to turn down the pressure... read the manual to find out if your reg has this adjustment capability.
