First, try plugging a lamp into the socket and see if that works. Next, plug the receiver into a different outlet and see if you have the same problem. Usually, when a receiver shuts down after a few seconds, the problem is a shorted output transistor causing the system to go into auto-protect. A blown transistor may be caused by speaker wires touching at either end. Just a stray strand of wire can be enough to cause real problems.

How can i stop my(other) proline pc from shuting itself down while i am repairing harddrive

First it most be plugged into a wall outlet or it will go to sleep to save the battery. Next go into control panel, Power setting & tell it to never go to sleep. Then reset this when you have finished your HD repair.

Monitor light up then shut down itself

1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.

Try turnning your tv off, unplug unit from outlet, press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds, let go of power button, if plugged into surge protector try wall outlet, if plugged into wall outlet try a different outlet, power tv on using power button on tv. I plugged mu T30 KU-2367 in power outlet, cam on

Hi,

I'm sorry but by what you have explained you will need to take this machine to a pc repair store and have the AC/DC adaper on the laptop itself checked out just in case it has burned out. Also you have to have the power supply itself checked just in case feed back has damaged that too.

If you feel like doing this yourself you will need a mulimeter to test the voltage coming from the power supply and the adapter on the laptop motherboard.

Also, if this has just happened then leave the unit to cool down and try again as if the cooling fan has seized then the laptop will automatically shut down when it reaches critical temperature.

Plesae post back if you need anymore advice.

Good luck.

My picture shuts off by itself and I have to get up and turn the tv back on. but more frequently it will just shut off by itself

my best guess is you have alot plugged into the same outlet as your t.v. if so move some of them. although i have to give you props this is a befounding problem. the culpriate is most likely electrical so check the plug and cord. the receptacle (outlet) isn't a gfci so its likely that the t.v. shuts off as a safety mode. if you can try plugging the t.v. into another outlet or having only the t.v. plugged into the outlet you have it in now, just as a simple way to check if the outlet is a problem.

Computer shut down

The sparking has probably caused your circuit protection inside the AC adapter to turn off the current.
Also, when you are plugging an adapter in,,do not have it plugged into the wall power outlet when plugging into the laptop,,,plug into the laptop first and then plug into the wall.

Power outlet

If you are sure the outlet is to blame and not the charger, it could get a little tricky trying to diagnose the wiring without a wiring diagram and a little electrical knowledge. I dont know if you were just sitting in your car or going down the road, but keep in mind some power outlets are switched off by the ignition key. Beyond those few thoughts, wouldnt hurt to have a qualified mechanic look at it, I've seen enough people screw up the computer when they thought they knew enough about wiring in vehicles and that is not cheap.
