There is another sensor called a thermopile or pile generator that most likely needs replacing. Look for two wires connected to the gas valve that has a metal strip wound around the outside of the wire. This will go to the pilot assembly and controls the main burner.

My two year old empire wall unit...looks like a DV-215 propane unit. The pilot won't stay lit....I have two other units same installation year and no trouble!

The pilot thermocouple is most likely defective, replace it, they are very cheap to buy. Check with a local appliance repair for the part.

So much air blowing in the pilot on DV-35-2SG heater won't stay lit

Unfortunately if its wall vented the wind can hit it just right and pop off the pilot this happens on older models a lot check your vent if its too much of an aggravation you may have to relocate it

I changed the location of my themostat now it will not turn on

Hi, So make sure your new wires on the block are making a good connection and also try lightly tapping on the block/connector while the thermostat is all the way on. pop off the cover and check to see if any breaks or if all seems ok and not out of the ordinary. good luck!

Poilt is very week and will not open gas valve

The reason the control valve is opening slowly is the the Thermopile needs to be replaced. The Thermopile generates millivolts of electricity from the heat of the pilot flame, which then opens the gas valve when heat is called for. Also, check the pilot flame to make sure it's engulfing the thermopile. If it's not the pilot needs to be cleaned.

The Empire Comfort Systems, Thermopile part number is 672063

My empire wall furnace does not ignite. It has gas flowing because the pilot is light, i have changed the thermostat and wired it two different ways in case I reversed them. What is next? Could it be the...

It could be several things: Is the Control Knob turned from Pilot to ON? If that is the case, wait a few minutes after turning it to ON. That will allow the Thermopile to heat up sufficiently. Be sure the flame is touching the Thermopile. If everything looks correct turn up your Thermostat to higher than the ambient room temperature and see if the burners light. Remember to turn your Wall Thermostat down to the lowest temperature setting before turning the knob from Pilot to ON.

FYI - That Wall Furnace does not have a Thermocouple. It uses a Thermopile instead to generate millivolts of electricity to open the gas valve and maintain the pilot flame.

If it is the Thermopile, you can order it directly from Empire Comfort Systems, as well as download your Owners Manual at www.empirecomfort.com

Empire wall heater with wall vent pilot light

It sounds like the gas valve is dropping out. Make sure the system is venting the exhaust(no restrictions). Then make sure all your wiring connections in the unit are tight. In a millivolt system if all wiring connections aren't tight and clean your circuit will drop in millivolts and the gas valve will drop out. The gas valve requires a certain millivolt to stay open. I hope I was of some assistance!! Good luck!!

The heater piolet light goes out when you move to use the heater

There is a thermo coupler that shuts the gass off if it is ba. It is locacted just in front of the pilot flame It has to sense the pilot to let the gss through. It is an easy fix and inexpensive.

Empire DV-210: Pilot light will light and stays lit, but when I

The thermocoupler is no good. It's that bulb sitting in the pilot flame. when it goes out it shuts everything doen in the main valve. It has to be kept hot by the pilot, that's how it know whether or not it is safe to open the main .
