Question about Ruud UAMB Air Conditioner
The aux heat always comes on immediately with the compressor when the thermostat calls for heat. (Ruud heat pump and Hunter thermostat). This happens no matter what the outside air temperature is. Here is the thermostat wiring: Red to "R", Yellow to "Y1", Green to "G", Blue to "O/B", Brown to "C". How do I get the aux heat to stay off unless needed?
What type of system is it, if it's it Rheem the o/b needs to be set for B, if not check the freon charge, or thermostat, there will be a point where the aux. heat comes on when you turn it up, poss. only 4 degrees, is it a mercury stat or digital ?
