Has car been in a damp, wet or coastal enviroment for any length of time, may be electrical ground issues, make sure you have a good engine to body ground strap, turn everything off in car,put your hands around the pos and neg batt. cables, have a friend turn the motor over for 5sec, if either cable gets warm, replace it, if the neg gets worm, hook a jumper cable from batt. to engine block, try again, good luck

when trying to start I hear a click and no starter noise. now that I think about it I do hear a humming sound.
This car was bought in Dallas Texas and now we are in Oklahoma City The weather is about the same. I noticed while reading others comments. That it could be a ignition cylinder.
Have you seen this happening before.
Could this be the problem? Or a electric or grounding issue.
I just went out to try car again after 2 days of extrema cold weather. And I STARTED YESS but this happens over and over. This is an intermittent problem and it must be fixed properly. IF you have any other suggestions I would greatly appreciate them.
Due to the bulbs not working, it sounds like fuses or relays. When you try to start it, what exactly is it doing or not doing? Is it trying to crank at all or is it not doing anything? When you turn the key to the on position, do you hear a "hmmmm" sound?
