Question about Cell Phones

1 Answer

I have a Philips telephone system CD155 less than a year old. Although the system is working well, the base station no longer charges any of the handsets. I find it necessary to retate the handsets between the chargers to ensure that all three handsets remain charged. How can I restart the charger portion of the base station?

Is the base station working when you press the buttons? Is everything working besides charging?

Normally, after or within one year, the base station start create problems. It starts to heat up because of over-charged or other problems and it refuses to start charging.
In that case, try to turn off the base station. Make sure you're doing this when you're not waiting for an incoming calls. Wait for a few seconds, then turn it back on. Check if the base station make any sound or give any response. After that, try to charge the handsets

If the handsets won't charge, then I think the base station is damaged or worn-out.

Hi i have a uniden ZO68 i want to add another hand set to this i have brought another uniden ZO68 second hand hand set and i can't set it up can you help me please

did you get the charging base with the hand set
is it a charging base or a base station base
if it is just a charging base , follow the instructions as how to get the base station to recognize the next phone
if it is a base station, probably won't work as you will have 2 base stations trying to work and that will create conflicts
talk with a telephone technician to see what can be done

HOW DO I DEREGISTER MY BASE STATION?

If you want to replace a handset or re-assign the designated handset number of a registered handset, you must de-register all the handsets and then individually register each handset.
To de-register all handsets:
Press and hold
FIND HANDSET
on the telephone base for about 10
seconds (until the IN USE light on the telephone base turns on and starts to flash), then release FIND HANDSET
.
Press and release
FIND HANDSET again. (You must press FIND HANDSET
while the IN USE light is still flashing. The IN USE light flashes for
approximately seven seconds.)
All system handsets show
CONNECTING...
The de-registration process
takes about 10 seconds to complete. All handsets show
NOT REGISTERED
when the de-registration completes.
If de-registration fails, you might need to reset the telephone and try again.
To reset:
Pick up the registered handset and then press
/FLASH
.
Press
OFF/CLEAR
and place the handset back in the telephone base.
-OR-
Unplug the power from the telephone base, then plug it back in.
note:
You cannot de-register a handset if any system handset is in use.

After de-registering, proceed with registering process:
If the handset screen does not show LOW BATTERY
or HANDSET X, you will need to charge the handset for at least five minutes before registering to the telephone base.
To register a handset:
Place the unregistered handset in the telephone base or charger. If
PRESS FIND HS 4 SEC ON BASE
does not appear on the handset screen after a few seconds, remove the handset and place it in the telephone base or charger again.
On the telephone base, press and hold
FIND HANDSET
for about four seconds (until the red IN USE light on the telephone base turns on) and then release the button. The handset shows
PLEASE WAIT...
and it takes about 10 seconds to complete the registration. The handset shows
HANDSET X REGISTERED
(X represents the handset number assigned)
and you hear a beep when the registration completes.

Have new CD155 cordless phone. phone does not

I'm having the same problem. My temporary solution is to turn on the speakerphone on the cd 155. Also if you happen to have an older phone laying around, you can use a phone jack splitter and use the old phone to alert you of incoming calls.
I just noticed this problem today, i'm still working on it. I'll let you know if I come up with a better solution.

Philips dect 521/525 - 3 year old phone - No dialling tone on one handset

I had the same problem and my hubby managed to reset the phone by simply unplugging it from the electical network. Just wait for few minutes (the date goes back to 1 Jan 2005), then plug it again and try to dial a number. It should work.

I have the very same problem and it was after storing numbers into the directory, although that may not have anything to do with it.
