Hi, i don't really understand what FTM stands for, but concerning the no service problem on your phone, you have to follow my laid down procedure to see if you can correct it yourself..

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} Try and observe the handset to see if it has to do with network band for the right subscriber required.
If the phone has up to 3 networks, select them one after the other to get the proper network and register it.
Unscrew the phone and check if the antenna is touching the board interface.
Take a close look to see if any chips, capacitors or I.C. diode fell off the network area board.
Also check if any resistor or chips are not properly soldered and solder it again.
You can service the board by washing it with spirit and heating it with a hair dryer, make sure the phone cools down before you couple it back.
If after all this process, the phone does not have service, then you have to rewrite the PM with a software(this can only be done by a mobile phone technician)

Concerning the incorrect password for the default settings, it's either you have changed it or it has been changed by someone else.. Should in case you cannot get the password, then you have to unlock the phone.

Take care.

Hello,

concerning the issue of network service, contact the customer care of your line and confirm if there is problem with their network service, because sometimes temporal service problem come from network provider.

Once you've confirmed that the problem is not from the network provider, then you can concentrate on the phone.

Lose the phone, look at the top back area of the phone, you will see a metal, that's the service, clean it and other part with cotton wool, couple the phone back and test again.

If you are using a sim card, test the phone with another sim card, to be sure, your sim is alright.

Also, for the password issue, check the phone manual for the
password. But I don't think that's the fault of the phone.

If after all these and the phone still has the same problem, then maybe you should take the phone to its manufacturer, for repairs or replacement.

Best wishes.

Can you generate unlock code for specific ZTE model?

Hi Algimantas, If you've locked your phone through entering an incorrect pin number 3 times then you need a Puk code, Ring your service provider and they will give you the FREE Puk code.....
If you lock your phone again sometime in the future and you're still with the same service provider you can use that same Puk code.. BUT if you've forgotten your pattern code The link below is a YouTube video of a guy showing 3 ways but the 3rd way is a factory reset meaning you loose everything in your phone but the first two ways are worth watching. Also there's videos down the right side that may help..... I hope this helps...... CHEERS..

I suggest you contact customer services.
There doesn't seem to be much info about your problem, other than many people seem to have it.

Re: ftm mode on ZTE F102
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had this problem, first there was no signal in a busy city center. I took out the battery and replaced it. Then occurred a white screen with ftm in red letters, all the menus worked but no signal and couldn't access memory card. I thought it was some kind of security lock and took it to the 3 store. The manager claimed he had never seen this error, and should speak to customer services as they would know what to do. I spoke on phone to customer services. They kept me on hold for quite a while, they eventually said it was a zte handset manufacturing error and if i send in the phone they will fix it free of charge. After a lot of wangling they also said they would give me £5 free credit for my time wasted. I sent it in.
I got a letter back, very quickly. they claimed there was liquid damage to the phone, and so it is not covered by warranty. (this is a blatant lie!) If they did not hear from me in 14 days they would send back the phone and i would have to pay £20 for service charges! or they would offer me a refurbished handset at a discounted price. I recieved no further communication from them.
I had to buy another handset. They had not added the £5 they said they would.
I phoned them. They transfered my call to 6 different sections. keeping me on the phone for over 45 minutes. They said i needed to sign up to a 3 contract. (i am on pay as u go) I laughed at this. They refused to call me back. I eventually convinced them to call me back. They said the section dealing with my problem was closed and they will call me back tomorrow. The Indian call center staff were surly and quite frankly rude.
I await there call.

Re: ftm mode on ZTE F102

well, they did call back, 1 hour late. The guy immediately put me through, without any explanation, to a mobile phone repair center in scotland, which does not actually deal with '3'.
I was incredulous!
a complete waste of time. not only unhelpful but willfully obfuscating.
i gave up, was too stressful to deal with these 'people'.
my advice - go with another provider.

I have a zte r100 and can't restore default settings. It's asking me for handset lock code, which should be default 0000, but is indicating incorrect password. I want to restore default settings because...

Menu > Settings > tab right to Handset > Restore Default Settings ... The default. Handset Lock Code is 0000 (unless you changed it). .... If you can't change the message service centre number maybe you can ask for a swap ...

How to format

You will need to get the code in order to access the phone. If it is a SIM card password, changing the SIM card will resolve this problem. Also, there is no way to "format" the device, you can Restore Factory Settings, but that just changes the settings back to default. Best of Luck.
