If you are absolutely sure the batteries are good you may need to clean the laser lense on the unit. You can do this using 200 proof alcohol and lint free swabs. Wet a swab and spin it gently on the lense surface. When you have gotten the lense dirt loosened up use the dry end to clean it. Blow canned air on lense to dry. If that was the problem your unit should now work. Remember to be very gentle with the swab when touching the lense. Let me know how this works out.

If your player is supposed to have charge, maybe the battery is dead. Is your carger ok? If charger is good, please take note that many mp3 players have "lifetime" batteries, you can't replace them so... if this is your case, for any practical purpose your player is dead.
If you connect your player to your computer, does it appear as a Removable Disk? If does, you still can use it as a pendrive,
If your computer won't recognize that it's connected, no way!

No power

The possible causes of the problem are:

1. Dead battery
2. Loose wire connection

First, try to charge the player and see if the battery could hold a charge. If not, then connect it to the computer and try to turn it ON. It the player did not turn on, then it's a dead battery.

But if the player turned on while it's connected to the computer, then it's a loose wire connection.

You may remove the cover of the player and re-solder the connection between the battery and the wire.

Thank you and good luck!

My GPX player MW3837 will not turn on or charge. It seems to have stopped working. It won't turn on even when i connected it to the computer!

Big problem there! There's a good chance the battery is dead - & with those LI batteries when their dead, that 's it.

You can either buy a new player, or if you can get it apart replace the regular LI battery with an external nicad set - just make sure you know the volts.

Your battery is dead. I would attempt to replace that before anything else. Hopefully, you have a one year warranty (rather than 90 days). Good luck!!

My Zen V Plus is not working.

Zen V is dead
"If your Zen V is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN trigger the reset button, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."
