87 f-150 4x4 5.0 no spark to distributer,no power to feul relay

Hello Kenneth Pettey,

Un-LESS you are going to buy VOLUME 3 of the
for your TRUCK... (which I heartily recommend)

I Went on-line to BBB Industries wiring & technical service bulletin site (see below, registration required)... and found 2 (two) perfect fusible links.. on both sides of your EEC Power Relay (fuse link "z" & fuse link "n")... That make the perfect suspects
for your described problem...

"n" = 20 ga brown
"z" = 20 ga blue...

(located immediately left of the "FUEL CUT-OFF RELAY")

Please do look at the associated drawing

A simple continuity test with ANY volt-ohm-meter ought to tell you if these fusible links are NOT intact...

Otherwise you are looking DIRECTLY at replacing & reprogramming your ECM ... California = worst case scenario.
(also shown on the drawings ... not likely)

The ECM pictures & numbers are for illustration purposes ONLY...
If you live in CALIFORNIA... it is solely & completely your responsibility to assure you are in compliance with STAE LAWS ... and regulations.... (try though they may.. the envy of the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT).

You must verify your application numbers yourself...
(check out rockauto (below)).

Hope this helps!!

Toshiba51hx83 convergence problem

Sounds like your convergence ICs are faulty If you cant move both red and blue in all 4 directions its usually your convergence amp ICs. They are prone to failure as they operate at such high temperatures. If you need any further info on this proceedure please let me know.

Screen flashes blue

Hi Clive, you do not say whether the screen flash is just blue flashing during use or a blue flash and failure. I had a problem with one of my TomTom's and it was like a blue screen of death PC type crash screen.
Try a system reset first, usually a recessed switch accessed via a hole into which you push the end of a paper clip. Resetting never fixes any propper faults in my experience but always worth a try.
The next option is a little more technical. Very carefully open the TomTom. Often there are little rubber bungs hiding small holes, at the bottom of which are tiny screws. Google Youtube and you may find exact details for your particular model. The screws are also often Torx type (like a star) Suitable screwdrivers are available from some mobile phone shops or Maplin Electronics. Having opened the case, disconnect the battery and unplug and re-connect any connectors including any PCB to PCB piggy-back cards. This hopefully will cure the problem. If there are any electrolytic capacitors, then if the unit is old or has been used in very hot weather etc then electrolytic capacitors can leak and swell or burst. If this is the case then they must be replaced which is a job requireing some skill.
Best of luck.

Picture is OK, but colors are off and there is a blue star background that shows on dark colors.

Hello, With most rear projections there is usually an alignment to do with the set up with your TV. This is so the red, blue and green projectors align together to give the correct colouring. This sounds to me what may be causing the outlining of the blue. This can also make it seem off colour. Look in the set up menu of the tv and see if you can find this alignment feature. Usually a cross will appear and you move a blue, red, and green cross with the arrows on your remote to align over the original white one. If this does not work, it may also mean that one of your projectors, that is the red, blue or green one may be failing causing the off colouring. Hopefully this alignment may fix it for you.

I have the mitsubishi 55711,i have a double image

This is a V-21 Chassis common, with these symptoms, for failure of the convergence amps. This set uses two STK 392-110 Sanyo amps mounted on a heat sink and hard to miss. They're a 40 pin ic about the size of a half pack of cigarettes.
It has also been my experience that two or more of the yoke return resistors need to be replaced, most commonly R8c21 and R8c22, both are 3.9 ohm 1w but test all of them for reliability.
Hope this helps!

I need to really find an HCL473W tube, can you help me??

Check out the Convergence Gallery. If you see the colored outlines or color shading as in the Gallery, you have a convergence problem.

This requires the replacement of the defective IC or ICs and any damaged or smoked resistors. Usually there is little alignment required after the repair. If you play with all the adjustments before the fix, hours may be spent re-aligning.

Don't monkey with it.

This is a delicate and difficult repair. If not done by someone with some electronic repair experience, the TV will likely end up as junk or cost considerably more for a tech to fix the damage done.

If you live in Calgary, call me. If elsewhere, find a competent tech.

Convergence images?

The blue picture tube of a projection tv is usually the weakest in ability to focus and in most cases loses its focus ablility before the red and green. Connect a cross-hatch generator to the rf inputs of the unit and check to see which areas are most out of convergence. The corners are usually the worst. HD will always bring out the slightest imperfections. If the unit was totally out of convergence, I would have suggested replacing the convergence IC'S.In my experience with rear projection, your problem is normal wear . You could conceivably improve the picture by adjusting the blue focus on the screen focus block. Scrivitron
