Question about Televison & Video
Just thought I'd ask you about the above problem that I am having at the moment.
I have just bought a new Samsung 46" LCD and when I have plugged my PS3 into the HDMI3 Port, there is a picture, but no sound.
When I connect the PS3 to ports HDMI1 & HDMI2, they work fine (sound & picture).
Also when connected to the HDMI3 Port on the TV and trying to play Blu-Ray DVD's, the sceen is mostly pink.
I've been discussing this with the Retail outlet that I purchased it from advising that I would like a new screen as it is brand new, but they are insistant that the problem is related to a setting on the TV.
I have been through the troubleshooting steps of the instruction manual for both the TV and the PS3 to make sure the settings are correct, to no avail.
Do you have any suggestions at all?
Go to the samsung website, and find out how to upgrade the firmware for your TV. You will probably need a portable usb memory stick to do so (if your TV is equipped with one). HDMI is an evolving technology, and firmware upgrades can resolve many of these quirky issues.

Which Samsung LCD TVs Have The HDMI 1.3 Interface? Of the LN-T series Samsung LCD TVs, those models whose last two digits are 61, 65, 66, 69, 71, or 81 (for example, LN-T4071F or LN-T466F) have the HDMI 1.3 interface.

Though other series of Samsung LCD TVs (LN-R, LN-S, etc.) have HDMI connections, none have models with the HDMI 1.3 interface.
