Question about Samsung Cell Phones
I had the same problem after I kept pushing buttons and trying to unlock secret menus within the phone. Straight talk has some fine print... read the booklet and you will see that you are not supposed to modify the phone and they reserve the right to disable you service at any time.... Good news once you call straight talk they will give you the code, go to the prepay menu and select code entry... it will reprogram the phone and start back up... good luck I'm trying to get Java on my phone as well

Without knowing what your son did to the phone, it is impossible provide a correct answer to your problem.
I can only suggest that you call your service provider and request Tech Support assistance. If your phone is locked where you cannot use it at all, tech support can provide you with instructions and an override unlocking code. This will enable your phone again.
