Make sure the WEBcam driver is installed. When the WEBcam works then the fault is with the Skype configuration. Sometimes the WEBcam settings drop off and the WEBcam need to be selected again. Open Skype - Tools - Options - Video Settings and select the installed WEBcam - Save the settings.
Download the same exact installation for Skype and then right click
and select "Run as Administrator." Now go through the entire setup.
Then restart the computer and then use Control Panel to remove Skype.
Restart one more time and the problem should be gone!
With skype you need to have a webcam installed on your computer. If it is a laptop with a webcam, then you just have to have the drivers installed, and in Skype go to Tools-Options-Video Settings, and choose your webcam there. Save your settings and make a call to someone in your Skype contact list and you will be able to video message. If you have a dekstop then you will need to go buy a webcam, install the drivers from the disc they include, plug in webcam, then in Skype go to Tools-Options-Video Settings, and choose your webcam
there. Save your settings and make a call to someone in your Skype
contact list and you will be able to video message. You will also have to change your audio settings in Skype to use the microphone on the webcam as your microphone source.
When you connect the Logitech WEBcam to the computer/laptop and configured the Skype Video Options for LogitechWEBcam and when you open Skype again you get a different WEBcam even though had saved the settings.
The fix - connect the Logitech WEBcam directly into the
computer's or laptop's USB port, DON't connect the WEBcam into an USB hub and then the USB hub into the compurer's or laptop's USB port.

1. Check if your computer has enough memory available. Open task manager, select performance tab. Check the green bar on the bottom then copare memory usage to the total of your Physical memory. If your usage is greater then physical memory then upgrade memory on your laptop.
2. Unistall your Skype application and reinstall it. Do the same for your Webcam.
How much memory do you have installed in your
computer? It may need to be, increased, as this is likely to be the cause
of your computer freezing, rebooting, times out, or shutting down.
Hope this is of some help. Bud
