Hi,

If your main concern is how to access the setup page of the Router. Here are the steps:

- The linksys router default the configuration page to http://192.168.1.1 but if you can't access is it that way

- Plug the router to your computer via ethernet cable
- Click Start button
- Click Run
- Type cmd on the window then press ok
- You will see a black screen: type ipconfig then press enter
- Look for the default gateway and write it down
- Open the internet explorer
- type the default gateway like this in the address bar of your internet explorer http://defaultgateway example: http://192.168.1.1 - it might be a different default gateway to yours
- Press enter, then it'll ask for the username and password
- just leave the username blank and type admin to the password and it should let you in, if it didn't, you should know your password, if you don't know the password reset the button at the back of your router.
- and you will be in the setup page after logging in

Regards,

sl4x

Lost my installer cd for wrt160n v3

Many newer routers don't actually require an install CD to work.

Connect the ISP modem to the main network port. Now connect the computer to any other port. That's it. All done

This just refreshes your IP. In PC go to Start > Search (run in XP) and type cmd ENTER. In the command prompt type ipconfig /release ENTER. Then type ipconfig /renew ENTER.

Error 322

Are you trying to run the CD that comes with the router?
I think you can try to setup your router manually instead of running CD. WRT160N router has issues with the firmware so I will suggest you to upgrade the firmware of WRT160n router first.

Solution for error 322

From the computer you are trying to configure the router from. Make sure you have an ethernet cable plugged in from the computer to one of the four numbered ports. You do not want one plugged into the wan/uplink port, this port is to be connected to your cable or dsl modem. Also open a command prompt, press the windows key and type "cmd" <enter> then type "ipconfig" <enter> scroll up and look for an IPv4 address it should start 192.168.x.x. If it starts with 169.x.x.x then your computer did not aquire an IP address via DHCP. If it shows as 169.x.x.x type "ipconfig /renew" <enter>. If it tells you, you don't have permission click windows key > All Programs > Accessories, right click on "Command Prompt" and click "Run as Administrator and repeat the last step.

Are you trying to set up the router.
You can do it manually without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem.
If your computer is not able to go online through the modem then you will need to call ISP first.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem
then you need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

I receive the 322 error when I´m trying to install my new WRT160N v3 Router, by Cisco.

I think you are trying to install the router using the CD. This CD has a bug. Even if your computer is connected to the router , it will say the computer is not connected to the router and it will give you error 322 or 321.
You can install the router without CD also.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem only.
connect the computer and the modem to the router and open the set up page of the router.
On the set up page you can change the settings of the router according to ISP.
