Razer copperhead problem

I bought a green razer copperhead mouse about 3 weeks ago... and about 1 week ago it started to go crazy... i can't move it properly... when i try to moove the cursor verticaly or horizontaly it only mooves diagonaly... it's practically uncontrolable... i changed the usb port... same pb, i formated my pc and reinstalled windows and the copperhead driver, same pb... the thing is that when i plug in my other mouse(logitech mx318) in the same usb port it works just fine.
also i've tried the razer copperhead mouse on another 3 pc's and it worked just fine...

Me Too! on two different computers.

Seems like it started on the last couple windows update.

I'm ready to get rid of the razers all together.

I have something like you've all described with mine occasionally, normally, turning the mouse over and rubbing the laser surround with my finger vigorously is enough to clean off the crud that seems to be causing the problem..
I've never had any software problems or anything with mine..

I know about the cleaning under the mouse 4zzdawg, my problem isn't that, I have owned razer mouses for about 3 years now and this issue is software or hardware. I still haven't figured it out. It seems to wrk fine then it gliches, I have to disconect it and reconect then it will work fine for a while. I went and bought a $9.00 mouse, it works great. If a solution comes up I'll used the razer again.

What operating system are you using? Because i know that Ubuntu and MAC's both have issues with the Copperhead.

Im running Vista (used to run Xp), ive had the copper head since its first release...and not a single issue like you have described has ever came up.

My Razor Copperhead mouse restarts

I found that when this was happening to me the problem area was where the wire meets the mouse. By wiggling that (moving the mouse) it would cause it to disconnect and reconnect.

Some claim it could be the firmware for various hardware pieces on your pc IE: motherboard, usb. Depending on how old the mouse is this could be true. Mine, however, is 4 years old and needs to either be repaired or replaced.

My copper piping inn my home is turning green at one location under the house. The plumbing was installed approx. 25 to 30 years ago. Is this going to be a problem? Should I get a plumber or don;t worry...

Copper pipe that is exposed to the elements will turn green, but normally isn't a problem, though you should periodically have a look at it. If any of the "green" area starts looking puffy, or building up, it could be more serious corrosion, and could cause a leak down the road..

My copperhead Razer mouse has started double clicking for one

This double-clicking can be due to a worn out micro-switch in your mouse. If you are well -verse with repairing such gadgets, you can go ahead and replace this switch yourself or refer it to a qualified technician

Hmm...I managed to solve the problem of mouse "breaking" while playing counter strike..Its a lil technical...

1. Right Click My Computer -> Properties
2. Choose 'Hardware' tab and then 'Device Manager'
3. You should see a Yellow exclamation mark on 'Razer Copperhead USB mouse' under 'Human Interface devices'
4. Right click -> properties
I do not exactly remember the wordings of the prompts that appear after this..

5. Click on something which says "install / update driver"
6. Choose the 1st option which has something missing in one of the columns..
7. Unzip downloaded driver files on your desktop
8. Choose logical options from here...
9. At some point it will ask for "Razerlow.sys" file...
10. Click browse and go to C:\Windows\system32\ will find it there...
11. Choose logical options from here and your "breaking" problem will be solved...

This does not solve the "No mouse detected" message in configurator...but atleast you can play your favorite game :-)

Razer Copperhead mouse problem

Check the BIOS settings on your computer: is it set to boot from USB drive?  that may be the problem.

Detected before, but not after. Help me please,

Go to device manager and uninstall everything under the USB heading and restart your computer. This should reinstall all the drivers and hopefully reinstall your mouse. You may need to rerun the driver you downloaded for the mouse afterwards.

My next suggestion your be to try the mouse on another computer to make sure it is not defective.
